(TEN) M Tennis at TAMU

VERY important match, TAMU is right there with UF in overall record and conference standing. IMO UF is the better team, but giving away a couple of matches early and having a tough ending stretch means they almost have to win this one. Certainly important for hopes of hosting a regional.

Strong doubles today

7-6 on 1, 6-2 on 2, 5-3 on 3...great start

 

Going with Nirundorn at #6, first chance at SEC singles for the doubles specialist. Surprising, I know Tokac has been erratic but Orli has been relatively steady when not playing too high

Very tight match other than court 1....both teams will be fighting for 3 of the last 5 matches

Braswell had a couple of set points but couldn't convert...serving at 5-4

Nate forces a TB, which he somehow loses 7-0

Only bright spot is Greif 4-0 after losing his first set

And just like that TAMU turns the tables...Braswell up 5-3 and loses 4 straight points and the set

Up a break at 2-1....but breaks have been frequent in this match

 

Braswell had 3 break points to go up 4-1....played VERY tight and let the guy off the hook. 3-2, Braswell last service game wasn't very pretty. Both guys playing tight at times

 

4-3.....Braswell to serve. TAMU player is going for winners, Braswell just keeping the ball in play....it's pretty even as a result. TAMU player a little wild.
Virtually no crowd

 

Braswell broken....guy is teeing off on his second serve, which he got most of that game. Guy is gonna have to have unforced errors for Jonah to win

 

TAMU holds at love for 5-4, Braswell was completely dominated in that game

 

Braswell holds at love, weird game in that the TAMU player tried stupid drop shots and then basically gave Braswell the last point by hitting the ball 20 feet long
