Wouldn’t surprise me at some point he ends up on Kirby’s staff.

I’ve heard Will say though he was a big Gator fan growing up.

Mack probably has the longest leash in all of college football at UNC.

Or he knew he would be hanging it up soon and was setting the chickens up for a complete disaster. He knew he could talk Tanner into as he’s not what you need in an AD in this day and age. If people can believe the earth is flat I’ll believe Spurrier helped out the Gators with his pitch!!

What one week of Champ coaching does to a QB:

    Last Week:
    Hilinski vs Bama
    36/57 (63%) 324 yards 2 TDs 1 Int 40.3 QBR

    This Week:
    Hilinksi vs Mizzou
    13/30 (43%) 166 yards 1 TD 2 Int 13.5 QBR

Honestly I really believe he is a solid coach and a phenomenal recruiter and motivator. His problem is he is way too conservative as a head coach, very much a DC mentality but his players seem to just make mistakes all the time that erase the benefits of a conservative philosophy.

He’s definitely upgraded the roster all around. One problem I’ve seen is when it comes to hiring assistant coaches. I think he’s terrible at it.

He’s not as conservative at SC as he was Florida. I mean Hilinski threw 57 times against Bama last week. It was the 2nd most of any QB at SC since Steve Tanneyhill.

It’s like he goes from one extreme to the other. At times he’s more aggressive then he should be from an offensive standpoint, but then not aggressive sometimes when he needs to be.

He'll win 6 games and go to bowls, it's UNC, like KY this is just something to pass the time before basketball starts.

I think that's case in point. He specifically said he went more aggressive than normal because it's Bama and he needed to in order to have any change. Low and behold SC was holding their own for the first half. He also followed it up with "that's not our strategy going forward" and how he would be changing it up by opponent. He did the same thing against Clemson last year and SC is a different team when they play like that.

Then he coaches another game, gets a 10 point lead and nurses it by milking the clock and playing prevent d. And shocker he ends up losing in the 4th. His continual bashful nature before halftime is what will always drive me nuts. Get the ball with anything less than a minute and he's running the ball into the half.

That seems a bit paranoid. He is destroying his credentials . I don't think he gets a big hc job after this. Even if he has the best “football iq” out there

Lumpy and his Cox might just run the table, boys and girls. UK, @UGA, UF, @UT, VU, App St.,@TAMU, Clem

Run the table by losing every remaining game. They'll only be favored in 3 games. @UT, VU and App St. and App just won @UNC yesterday, too. The last thing a team needs after close losses is a coach who is a screaming, raving jack ass which is what the Cox have.
