I mean that's something they should have seen coming, especially considering their current struggles with Title 9 issues in their athletic department.

I have always thought bianco should be the candidate. He played there.

Vols here in Knoxville are sure UT won't let slip the guy coaching their only winning program.

I'm pulling for LSU because A) they already have a baseball natty so won't be any different if they win another (Recall my stated position: I don't want ANY other SEC school to have the Natty in FB, BB and Baseball) and B) living with these people around here is always better when their hearts are broken, bleeding on the floor, shattered.

Love the idea of Bianco. Been a HC for 20ish years at Ole Miss and has 1 CWS appearance. Please tell me they pushed out Mainieri with 5 CWS and 1 NC for Mike Bianco! That would make me happy.

Now that our coach has taken his name out of the mix, I really don't care who LSU or any other university hires. Interesting to read the speculation, though.

No source at all... just reason. Unless he really needs the money or thirsts for a challenge at 62.... Casey is a lifetime Oregonian enjoying retirement and he has to understand that anytime his name comes up the Heimlich case will be re-opened- who needs it. Casey had a great career with 3 NCs- enjoy retirment in your native state- which happens to be a fantastic place to retire... why bother with the heat, humidity, tropical weather and huge pressures of LSU?

No idea - it may not ever. It was just something I heard from a very connected source. It has nothing to do with LSU though. Some others on here heard the exact some stuff. You know how those things go - sometimes they are true, sometimes they aren’t.

There is a gray area where some of it is true and some of it is not.

It would not surprise me if Sully had an ear out, but didn't like what he was hearing.

I have no inside 411 on that and just speculating.

Still very happy that he is staying.

No doubt he has strong ties to lsu and has a very good record at ole miss, however in 20 years at ole miss he has been to omaha once I think. Thats probably a tough sell to a fan base used to going to omaha.

Him or bring Dan McDonnell back. He was well liked at Ole Miss.

Schools that push out successful coaches because they don’t live up to Skip Bertman deserve pain. Ole Miss would do well with either McDonnell or Godwin.

Personally, I would seldom if ever use Rodgers as my example. No longer a beg fan of his.
