The report I saw somewhere said simply that he had been seen parking his car outside a UGA building everyday. Implication was some sort of analyst job. Doesn't look like anything is public at this point, at least not that I've seen.

I'm concerned we don't have replacements yet. Pretty soon graduate assistants won't even be available...

    Go Gators.

I imagine he's happy to do it if the hours are good and he keeps collecting that SC buyout. Has South Carolina began to torture the AD that hired Muschamp or was he already long gone by the time they figured out Mischimp was as bad at SC as he was at UF?
Makes it appear it was an appeasement move and not one CDM had been anticipating. Saban, and maybe even Shart, would have had their replacements on a short list before terminating coaches. It would be nice to know the real reason the two were let go.

    Everything starts at the top.
And between Stricklin and Mullen we have weak and weaker.

I surely hope we are in good hands. But I don't see a future HC on our staff and all good staffs have a couple. I remember how many future HCs Bobby Bowden had on his staff. Great assistants make great teams and can do enough good that if only with you a few seasons it's still worth it. But it requires a coach to know who is out there and with whom he would replace a coach that departs for another opportunity.

One thing McElwain had was excellent recruiters. McElwain inherited a roster mess and we had the number one class for 2018 and 2019 the day McElwain was fired. They could recruit. The 2018 class all but disintegrated when McElwain's recruiting staff departed but a few gems like Trask and Pitts stuck. And no, I def don't miss McElwain and the pitifully weak teams he fielded. Mullen's OL coach hasn't helped much but for whatever reasons our OL roster hasn't recovered from the mess Masschump created by inexplicably failing to recruit OL.

I think Brian Johnson is a rising superstar and should be a HC one day. He already had an interview for the HC job at Boise State.

I suspected, and posted as much, right after his son went to UGA to play football in stead of USCe.

I was going to say he is on his way. Our staff should have a bunch of guys other schools would at least want to poach. I wonder if our former secondary coaches are getting any sniffs.

Isn't it only the one db coaching position that is vacant now?

Not as a HC they’re not, and won’t ever. Purdue did hire English (hard to believe) and USCe hired Gray, both as position coaches only.

I meant as position coaches. That is the most I would expect. But I guess they were vetted and came up clean and qualified while we are still presumably searching. Maybe Grantham doing his scouting in between in-homes with elite DL.

It might be. But I'm paid big bucks to worry full time. Actually, no one pays me. I just worry on my own Nickle. I just hope we get a decent coach, one the kids love and someone that can develop the talent and RECRUIT!

    Go Gators.

Muschamp is truly a chump coach. He needs to be a position coach on an SEC defense and that's about it. He must be pretty smart though to be fired for incompetence but still get golden parachutes.
