I'm thinking about making this an annual thread a week or two before game week..
I think that is a great idea. Who was the poster who had thanksgiving at Saban's house?
Swampcritter. Long gone from these parts. Last I heard - some years past - he was married, living in Tennessee, had a 'special needs' child, and still a screaming conservative.
Strangely enough ...
Yeah, I couldn't remember his username, but he was a card. Lol
Fun stuff! Thanks for the links.
The Mod you mentioned would have been TennesseeNole, on Too Hot. His name was Tim and he was a reasonable man, well respected for his balanced perspective. He had been posting on GC for some years before being asked to moderate Too Hot. Tim took a lot of flack for that and later changed his username to 'TN' before he stopped posting on the GC boards. He had health problems. Heart as I recall.
that's awful. I hate to hear of anyone being sick.
I do go. I even post a thread from the end of the table some years...but only when he isn't looking. He takes phones away at the drop of a hat.
Here I am! Recovering from the many hear attacks suffered during that game
Butt for we need a happy thread.
Matt, I was nervous, but never had a doubt.
I think so. It's sort of like a rallying cry to all the long-time regulars here before each season.
It's a cool thread.
Bringing back memories, y’all.
I used to be DBroncTD30, and would usually post anytime SpeedOfSand did, as we were both big motor sports enthusiasts.
Only had a few hundred posts, but enjoyed the board immensely.
I recall Willie Williams’ Red Lobster excursions, jet packs & lasers, MrTwoCents’ hilarious photoshops, Lulu & Junior, Colonel Reb, Dot from Warchant, and I’m sure I’m forgetting many other topics of conversation.
I ghosted through the Chip Kelly thread, that was fun.
Nice to see the same folks still around today, from Princess, Ray, Gray, and several others.
Perhaps I’ll get my feet wet again.
This certainly looks like the appropriate place to start.
Welcome back! I remember you!
(Hope I’m doing this correctly!)
Hi Princess. Hope all is well with you.
Wasn’t aware of your absence until reading this thread. It actually prompted my response.
Hopefully other former posters will step forward as well, like the aforementioned SpeedofSand.
He was a cool guy.
Speed is in the pub, his daughter just passed away.
I need update my profile. And I am moving to CA next week, so it'll be adios to my license plate (which is all I will miss about Arizona).
Good to see some familiar "faces" around here.
And King1. He wasn't around for long but had a lot of good insight on hoops recruiting.
Don't be TOO good.
