I would caution against falling into the Democratic narrative that this is a tit-for-tat prosecution. Banks are about as okay with occupancy fraud as they are with being held up at gunpoint. Banks have to be able to mitigate the risk in their rates on investment properties in order for the market to function properly.
Pam Bondi, DOJ officials caught off guard by Tish James indictment: Sources As ABC News previously reported, Martin and Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, who initially made the criminal referral to DOJ over James’ mortgage applications, have in recent weeks clashed with senior leadership of the department as they’ve demanded more aggressive actions to prosecute President Trump's political enemies.
"Staff in that office has been eliminated to just two officials down from roughly 30 since Trump’s inauguration, according to sources." -more of this please.
In essence, you’re saying Democrats can never commit crimes because they have convinced you President Trump has committed crimes. As though President Trump’s actions or alleged crimes have any bearing on whether Letitia James broke the law or should be prosecuted. And it seems in one breath you are arguing it was proper to indict President Trump for alleged crimes, and in the next you’re indicating James should not have been indicted. This is what TDS can do to a person. The DOJ has a responsibility to indict James regardless of who is in office. She committed a crime. It’s that simple.
Wait what happened to the maga mantra of "victimless crime"? Now James, minuscule by comparison to dear leader's is valid? Works for me... since she communicated to her broker that the property was not for her home, and the paper trail is also conflicted, she will NEVER be found guilty. But I'm glad maga is now on board for the 34 felony counts on dear leader.
All good. I don't get overly emotional about politicians either, just people who should know better. I am an independent and have never been a Democrat, but was a Republican in my misguided youth. Political parties are part of the problem, but when in doubt, you should use your nose. If it looks like, acts like, and smells like shit - it probably is. An administration and a President that has already racked up 144 indictments, 106 convictions, 6 prison sentences, 2 impeachments, and 34 felony convictions is a steaming pile. Why would you step in it twice?
No, I'm saying either the Democrats are REALLY, REALLY good at committing crimes or, more likely don't commit them as much as the Republicans. You see I like to vote for smart people or law-abiding citizens, or both - take your pick. Trump's crimes also are not ALLEGED. He was convicted by his peers in a court of law. In either case, they get my vote over this train wreck inside a dumpster fire during a shit storm that is the Trump administration.
Also - Trump was indicted by the Justice Department and NY State, not Donald Trump directing the Justice Department to indict without merit for revenge purposes. You see - there is a difference between an ACTUAL criminal who is trying to deflect from his own criminality by trying to put that label on another because he's mad he finally got caught for the illegal shit he's been getting away with his whole entitled life and someone who is not a criminal. Sorry if you don't like that label, but don't do the crime if you can't do the time (or pay the penalties) I can't believe I am having this discussion with a supposedly mature adult. Didn't your parents teach you any better or am I assuming my lower middle class upbringing was somehow not typical?
No, if she committed a crime, she should be prosecuted. Unfortunately Trump ordered and thus is tampering with the prosecution. Good luck with that!
