    Lawn Mower Safety

Here's the heart or it... Push mower at 12 and riding mower at 16.

Im certain all of us cut the grass wayyyyyy before then and we're still here. Are they nerfing kids nowadays? My dad would have kicked my ass into gear if I said no Sir I'm not old enough.
I worked with a lady once and she said she drove her dad home from the bar at 13, she's 51 this year.
Just thought it was odd for lawn mowing.

    Very informative.....

BUT, they forgot a thing or two. .

1, DO NOT Lick the mower blades, Especially if the mower blades are moving!

2, DO NOT Try to do "Doughnuts" with your Old Man's brand new High-Horsepower riding mower, as it's so wrong on many points...

Your Old Man's yard is gonna look like a combination of what a drunken landscaper, along with the groundhog from Caddyshack did solely out of spite!
(Not to mention that your Old Man is gonna have to get out of his recliner to see what a great job his Son did on his first try, using "Daddy's brand new several Thousand dollar souped-up landscape baby")

Also, once those doughnuts have been created, and the Old Man's sprinkler system decides to kick on, his yard will start to look like the Okefenokee swamp!

NOTE: By this point, you might seriously consider returning to item #1, and, after taking a second glimpse at the carnage left by your "innocent doughnuts".
Your options are simple..... When you lick the mower blades,
    Power Off, or Power ON?

I thought having live-in lawn mowers was the main reason to have kids.

Seems a bit ironic that you refer to kids when your avatar/mascot is often used to keep the grass 'mowed.'

I don't have kids...of either type. I have always mowed my own lawn.

Kids and young adults take lawn mower safety seriously these days. You'll never see one within 500 yards of a lawn mower.

Maybe I am old school, but my 12 and 14 year old daughters drive mine (and think it is fun) and my 7 year old son rides in my lap.

So in the mid/late 80's as a kid in Port Charlotte, I did some work for a family friend cutting grass. The old riding mower had no hood cover and had to be shut off by pressing a piece of grounded metal to the top of the spark plug. The mower was 20 years old I think.

Oh man I saw that Honda and so many people were killing them on their F1 car.
My yard would be a mess with that much fun.
