Landon Russell from Gulf Coast State College commits to UF

The history of JUCO ball has always been FL JUCO schools, the conference that San Jacinto Tx plays in as well as the conference that Columbia State Tn plays in.

These programs (amongst others) have over the years produced many really good ball players.

 

Yep - thanks. I'm not a subscriber to D1 baseball, so don't have access to the information.

 

He's more needed in the OF. We have Robertson, who hit 202 in SEC play and finished the year horribly at the plate.....and we have Evans who hit .078 in SEC play. Evans obviously played well in Omaha and that has us all optimistic for next year but let's not forget the issues.
That's it for the OF, 2 guys with inconsistent hitting at best, and Shelnut. The everyday lack of depth everywhere but C/1B is simply unbelievable at present.

 

Summer league play is where kids improve craft or plateau in my opinion.
