A Gator player kneeling before tip off against Army is the ultimate disrespect , in my opinion
It is not the ultimate disrespect, in my opinion. Call it a tie?
While I respect your opinion Karl, before the game, he and the team specifically said that it was not out of disrespect for their opponents, for whom they have the utmost regard. I would not have done it, but I have no problem with it.
In before lock!
very poor timing, those kids for Army are our future leaders of our country, not future nba players
It’s not about our military. If you saw the end of the game, Lewis went out of his way to salute the Army bench.
I’d be fine with it if it weren’t against Army. Rarely do you play a game against an opponent that has a direct line toward defending the flag and the anthem you’re kneeling for.
If Scottie wanted to kneel every game from here on out I would have supported him, but to do it in this game was tough.
The Army fights for our right to kneel.
The flag and the military have nothing to do with the kneeling. Nothing more than peaceful non-violent protest.
Probably half the country disagrees with this.
I kneel to pray. Hopefully the player was saying some prayers.
He would not play for me. He has a scholarship to play basketball. Keep your politics off the court. Dont thank he would like me waving a confederate flag in his face
Doesn't get more ironic than to counter someone protesting against systemic racism with an act of overt racism. Kudos... that Is HILARIOUS!
actually 48%, thank god
The flag only represents the military? I never knew that
there is a time and a place for any and every thing. Protesting the very flag that gives you the right to protest is not the time nor the place
And all this time I thought it was the Bill of Rights that gave me the right to protest. I've learned a lot in this thread. Thanks everyone
A bit like there being a time and a place (or specific message board on this website) for you to express your political views.
How did you come up with the 48% figure
It’s only as disrespectful as you make it, which means it’s also not disrespectful at all..
