They predict this may last another two months.

I don't believe the volcano will affect any UH games. The volcano is on the big island and the UH football stadium is on Oahu.

Well, there IS thousands of tons of "Hot Blob" lava flowing all over destroying several hundred homes, and to date, "Blobbing" almost 600 acres of new land onto the island.

Well, that is tragic in many ways. They live near an active volcano, yet don't feel the need to purchase an insurance policy that shares their risk. Honestly, if they aren't covered, then too damn bad! They loose.

I have properties in Polk County and I have to buy flood insurance per my lender - regardless of whether I think it is a reasonable risk.

If these folks have a lender and it didn't insist upon some kind or volcano coverage rider OR they own outright and weren't smart enough to get such a rider - knowing that they live in the shadow of an ACTIVE VOLCANO - then there should be no other recourse than the loss of their property. Move back when the lava cools and rebuild or sell.

And the USGS has no idea as to when this might let up or stop!

It amazes me to see how fast that freaking lava is flowing!

Those flyovers really give you a better idea of the lava and flows. What looks like a river, actually IS a river.......... Of freakin' LAVA!! And, there's lots of it, with more on the way, and no signs of letting up!
