Rick is right! Every recruit that ND gets has to be a 5 star. Don't believe me? Just ask Knute. Kinda like they are rated in the top 2-3 before they get some real competition late in the season. Then reality sets in and they are put in their place!!
His defense got demolished in their opener last night, 24-7. Could've been worse if not for the other team's 3 turnovers.
I guess those 2 CBs to UGA didn't mean anything after all. Keeley is being sought by our recruits which I first noticed with Myles Graham on the night Keeley decommitted ND. Tampa to Gainesville works for me. Hopefully, it will work for Keeley and his family too. Keeley and ..... would work fine too. I like candy.
Watched Calvary play Berkeley tonight. Calvary dominated. Left with 7 minutes to go in the 4th with Calvary up 42-10. 3 Star Callahan Blair was the best defensive player on the field for either team tonight. I believe I counted 3 sacks and a pass deflection. Kid has a motor and looked really good. Keon Keeley looks great but I kind of expected to see a player dominate and be all over the field with his name being called all night for a 5 Star. He didn’t play bad and he had a sack but I feel like he got handled pretty well by Calvary’s tackle. When I think 5 Star and #1 at your position, I think you should be able to go to college and start or contribute significantly year 1. I don’t think he is at that level. I also didn’t see him leading his team vocally as a captain when they were down. This was my first time seeing him so maybe it was an off night. Callahan Blair stole the show at the DE position and was the best player on the field defensively. Calvary has a really good talent on O.
It was either Ian Trill (Sr) playing RT and Joseph Ianota (Jr) playing LT. They moved Keon around to each side so both held their own against him.
Not sure to be honest. 247 has him as a 3 star prospect with offers from Duke, Appalachian State, Army, coastal Carolina and Florida Atlantic.
Had an Eagle Scout project for one of the boys in my son's troop this morning at Honeymoon Island and talking to one of the boys that plays OT for Dunedin HS. They got destroyed by Berkeley Prep last night 52-0 and he said he knows Keeon Keely and was talking to him. The boy said Keeon said he's either going to Notre Dame or a Big 10 school. I asked him if he's going to be in the recruiting conversation in a couple of years (Soph now I think , 6' 6 or 7" and down to 260, was 290+) he said he hopes so. He watches the Gators and commented that it's fun to watch Dez Watson play.
