The point is that Georgia and Vandy may be the two most winnable games left on the schedule. Lose both of those and you might be in real trouble. UT and Awbrin will be extremely difficult games.

That certainly may have been his point, but that's just not how it read to me. But even considering that angle, look at our SEC record and who we have struggled against. We have losses to Ole Miss, Alabama, South Carolina, and Georgia. We are 2-3 against the worst 4 teams in our league. We are 6-1 against everybody else. Even if that is the point, I don't agree that Georgia and Vandy are the two most winnable games left simply because that is just not how this team plays. Other than Georgia being our rival, I don't think there's really anything significant about either Vandy or Georgia (over other opponents) as it pertains to helping out our situation.

Another interesting stat, we are 5-1 against Sagarin top 25 teams. The only teams that have more top 25 wins are Kansas (6-2) and Oklahoma (6-2).

I think it's fine to schedule those schools as long as we don't screw around. We've scheduled these types of games for a long time but the difference is we'd blow those teams out as opposed to 2 single digit wins which wind up looking a lot like losses when they're doing the eyeball test.

RPI does not take into account margin of victory. Only wins or losses. Other polls and metrics (KenPom & Sagarin) do. We can beat every team by 50 but our RPI would stay the same.

I’m no RPI wizard but I think you’re wrong lol. If you look at the RPI ratings on ESPN it accounts for a lot more than wins/losses. Offensive/defensive ratings, strength of schedule, etc.

You are confusing RPI with BPI (ESPN).

All the other stats and metrics listed still doesn't change the RPI. They are listing multiple information for each team. The only info listed that changes the RPI is wins and losses and where it was played.

Look up the formula for RPI. Only variables are your wins/losses, your opponents W/L and your opponents opponents W/L.
