Can't see that hit last night on Jordan Reed any other way. Preseason, really dude? Could very well have ended Reed's career with his now 7th concussion.

I was at the game. It looked like Neal was trying to lower his shoulder.

If that's accurate it's time for Jordan to hang it up.

JMO, four years ago, no one is talking about that tackle but with the new rules he is being questioned as a dirty player. He is best known for his physical play but needs to learn to tackle with head up and placement. I'm old school defense (played LB in HS) and intimidation is a huge factor in defense that is being diminished. I hate that but I understand why the rules are in place.

The Rules Committee could go a long way on leveling the playing field if they would change the rule to keep the running back/offensive player from lowering their heads to initiate contact w/ the defense as it just human nature for them to lower their head also for protection.

I don't think that hit makes Neal a dirty player in the slightest. I wouldn't even call that a dirty hit.

It looked to me like he was trying to go low and get his helmet on the ball; the other Falcon dragged Jordan down from behind which caused the Neal's and Jordan's helmets to collide.

Unfortunately that is not what the replays show.

Didn’t get to watch the game. Was it reviewed? Was he ejected?

Not a dirty hit imo. He didn’t launch himself and reed was not defenseless. He did not appear to be trying to intentionally hurt reed.

Let’s just get rid of the pads. There’s a reason why that rugby player is running circles around these guys.

I agree, I don't see that as a dirty hit.

Not a dirty hit. An unfortunately configured collision from a tackle attempt.

How so? Looks like he lead with his right shoulder. Its the nature of a game with ever moving parts that heads will collide

Reed is just as much at fault/not at fault for the concussion as Neal. Both of them were moving with their heads out front. It looked like Neal was trying to get there with his shoulder, but it's football and when guys are moving fast stuff happens.

Jordan sees Keanu and they both made their moves. Unfortunately their moves moved their heads together. Tough break. But I can see the NFL making WAY too much of it. Football is a tough business.

Yeah it’s time for Reed to walk away. Seven concussions is unreal. And that’s assuming the only ones he’s ever had were diagnosed.

    Wow - Seven (7) ?
Yeah I agree that Jordan may need to consider other work. He's terrific but he's flirting with being one of those guys that turn 50 and act like they are 85.
