Not sure why but I never disliked lattimore at any time even when he had success against us. Just appreciated his toughness and game. I cringed when I heard about his injuries each time as well and genuinely hated it for him.

No doubt, I'd wager at minimum a consistent pro bowler.

Coach John Robinson of USC said after that game that Marshall was the greatest defensive player he had ever seen. High praise indeed.

I’m honestly having a hard time comparing Wilbur’s performance to anyone else I’ve watched. What Alex Brown did was incredibly special but it was in a way one dimensional. What Marshall did was so well rounded.

Me too. Came back from Houston for the game where I took a job after graduating in May.

USC had that Student Body Right.....
But we had Rambo verses the world and Rambo won as usual. Wilbur was the Black Panther before the Black Panther was cool.

I've been studying the talent our defense could have 2 years from now and it hasn't looked this promising in many years. Next time Candy posts a fresh update I'll add a possible defensive lineup to put it into perspective. Let's just say it's mostly full of Top 100 players.

Im sure it got lost in the posts somewhere.

    Leonard Manuel status?

    Wardrick Wilson status?

I wouldn't think either of them are committed or signed here. If I read correctly, we have two slots open to reach 85. The math on scholarships has never been my strongest area because of the moving around of them or other programs.

Manuel, at one point, I thought was heading elsewhere for not qualifying. Wilson has been stuck with the whole visa being updated or extended. Due to COVID19, he may not be able to come back until it's over.

Lattimore is a good human being that got a bad break. I remember when we played them in the Swamp. Everytime we heard, "Lattimore carries the ball", my wife looked over at me and asked, "Don't they have anyone else?" Class act by Spurrier to offer him a job at SC had he wanted it after the injury.

Thats how i felt about Prothro from Bama. Shula was a damn fool having him still in the game against us in 05 when up by 27 i believe and cost that man his future. I believe he still walks with a limp

I was a big fan too and it was heartbreaking to see him get hurt like that.
The kid could flat out play.

It was REALLLLY bad and unfortunate and avoidable. Dude was like 5'8....why are you throwing a fade route to him in a blowout? Terrible all around

I was there. One of the all time great Gator games. Jimmy Buffet sang the national anthem and was two rows in front of me.

I was sitting in that endzone and saw it happen right in front of me. It was awful.

Hate seeing that. Hate that Ed Chester got his career cut short too. He was destined for big NFL money
