    Falling inflation can be good news and can be bad news. For example, we saw rapidly falling inflation in 2008 and 2020 (all the way to the point of brief deflation both times). That wasn't good news. We will see if PC expenditures recover this month towards the end of the month. If not, we are looking at an effect of lagging demand/consumption.

    Why is it interesting? Incompetence Day was in April. This is the beginning of June, businesses already had inventory and CPI numbers lag
