Good stuff. Why the heck are they favored by so much?
As everyone knows, turnovers and penalties are key. I liked the discipline by our D against Auburn, thought it was a key and we must repeat it.
But, we need to get the breaks this time. We cannot keep overcoming bad spots and bad calls.
Joe Burrow is no Bo Nix, he will make the throws Nix couldn’t. He’s much better than he was a year ago. Yep, he will face by far the best defense he’s seen this year on Sat night. It’s a bit foolish to think UF is just gonna shut him down though. The new young OC has made a big difference this year. LSU is not the LSU of old on offense now. They lead the nation in scoring, at 52pts per game. They’ve scored 40+ in 8 straight games. Nope, they won’t get that this week, but they’re gonna score some points. The UF offense will have to be on and make far fewer mistakes this game to keep up and beat them.

Four of those five teams????? It's called RUTS....
Even Texas...didn't really have the defense......
But....Burrow sure ain't racking up numbers against our defense.
Mullen and Grantham are going to have a game plan that's going to do the same thing to Burrow and LSWho that we did last year.....
Beat them again!
Auburn was All-World and this was going to be their year
LSU is All-World and this is going to be their year
Georgia is All-World and this is going to be their year
Alabama is All-World and this is going to be their year
Somewhere along the line, someone has to lose; they can’t all go undefeated and make the playoffs.
Agree - BR at night is enough to overcome.
I know I'm going to sound arrogant but of the 2 games I was more concerned with Auburn than LSU. We have an incredible defense and they don't. That simple
Because Vegas isn't worried about who actually wins the game.
Vegas is concerned about public perception and making the money fall correctly.
Agree, and Mullen is the king of TOP. LSU isn't so great at that, which has caused a lot of problems for their suspect defense. Orgeron is bad at TOP and ball control.
Hey, we just beat All-World Bo Nix. Better than A Flacco, remember? Now this guy?
Remind me to be scared.
Fixed it for you
Vegas is looking at that high powered offense and home field advantage. But they are overlooking a lot of other factors.
We’re playing with house money in this game. LSU has a lot to lose if they lose. We can play fast and loose and let the chips ......
Vegas isn't overlooking anything and they aren't concerned about LSU's "high powered offense".
Vegas is paying attention to the fact that the average fan/gambler believes that LSU has a high powered offense.
This line is setup as a sucker bet. LSU has dropped 40+ points every game. LSU is 4-1 ATS this year. LSU has hit the Over 3 out of 4 games.
In contrast, Florida is 3-2-1 ATS. UF has only scored 40+ in 1 game against UT Martin. UF has held the Under 4 out of 5 games.
On the stat sheet and watching highlights on CFB Live LSU looks great covering the spread. The average fan/gambler doesn't dive deep into games.
You want an interesting stat UF hasn't allowed 30 points to be scored on them since last years USCe game. That's no accident. It's also no accident that Vandy dropped 38 on LSU 2 weeks ago.
Expect Mullen to run the ball, control the clock, Perine should see a lot of touches. That means there's going to be less plays and less opportunities for LSU's offense.
Take the 13 points. The line will probably drop closer to kickoff. This game is going to be within 7 to 10 points of each other regardless of who wins.
Gators... just don’t turnover the ball.
UF’s defense, if it continues at this level, would rank as the best ever.
So yes, I think UF has an excellent chance to play a very competitive game
Saturday night at Red Stick.
JB has been terrific but as previously mentioned this will be his first big test against a top rated defense.
Kids good but when you are dodging pressure and getting sacked, combined with a UF secondary that finally seems to be gelling and yes UF is certainly capable of winning the contest.
Mullen said Zuniga will be 100% and play versus LSU. Dameon Pierce will probably be back too.
Sacks and hurries. Sacks. And. Hurries.
Watch the back shoulder throw all night. That scares me. Straight up I think our D will be fine but he and Fromm throw that back shoulder to perfection.

Joe Burrow feels comfortable in this new RPO offense borrowed from Joe Moorhead student, Joe Brady (passing game coordinator). The best way to beat an RPO offense is to disguise that sixth defender covering the RPO outlet, and to do it without over committing pressure—just as Florida did against Moorhead’s Mississippi State team, albeit with better athletes. Hit the QB as often as possible, keep him throwing short, and grab interceptions off deep throws.
