Yes. His numbers speak for themselves. 401.6 passing yards and 568.9 total yards in 2019 compared with 228.5 passing yards and 402.1 total yards per game in 2018. LSU 2018 before Brady LSU 2019 with Brady
He just got fired because his offense was ineffective. The guy is nothing special. Those numbers are the result of Burrow improving from one year to the next.
To me a pink slip in the middle of the season is a red flag. Even Coach O let him go. "Burrow gone, you no good."
Brady was the guy that was smart enough to keep that re-tread Emsminger from handcuffing Burrow and those receivers (again). The only 'modern' guy on that staff.
It’s true, although there was a similar jump in the Gator offense from 2019 to 2020, and there was no new coach. Trask just got better.
It's the NFL. It's much harder to do certain things because management having more say in running the team than many, if not, most coaches. Lots of great coaches have struggled in the NFL. Didn't Belichek get fired at Cleveland? Neither Spurrier, nor Saban, nor Urban forgot how to coach when they went to the League.
I think only in the sense that he is an elite play caller, developer, and teacher. Burrow didn’t just go from average at best to elite over night. Brady did that by matching his strengths up to that offense and teaching and developing. Don’t_of the teaching in developing aspect as Brady is really in that area. As good as he is doesn’t need to be an elite recruiter.
Seems like you know exactly what you’re talking about so I’m gonna agree you in that it likely had nothing to do with Carolina being on their 3rd starting QB due to injuries this year or the loss of CMC at RB! He was just a terrible coach.
I think the sample size is pretty small. He looked all world with Burrow and some amazing talent. Can he repeat it?
