One time Gator commit passed away last night. Cause of death is being investigated.
Oh my gosh. That's awful.
He was also the QB for Ole Miss when they beat Florida, which caused Tebow to give “The Promise” speech.
It seems I recall he was comitted to us and John Brantley to UT.
We got Brantley and he went to UT.
Then later transferred to Ole Miss?
That’s right. He was a big time recruit but they also signed Colt McCoy. He ended up not winning the starting job and transferred to Ole Miss. great player. Signed with the Bucs but the NFL didn’t work out for him.
Too young. RIP.
I think you are off a year. He was the first QB committed to us until Tebow committed. I think the story was that Urban kept telling him that he was recruiting Tebow as a LB.
Terrible thing to hear. He was definitely the best QB Ole Miss has had since Eli. He declared for the draft and went undrafted, then got cut in camp and never played in the NFL. Textbook example of why you should be able to go back and finish out your eligibility in college if nobody drafts you. If the school you left won't or can't offer you a scholarship, that's one thing, but not letting you play anywhere doesn't seem to me to be something that would stand up in court.
That's quite a story. No one recruits a linebacker that hard.
Everyone knew Meyer went balls to the wall to land Tim to run his spread.
Prayers to his family. Very sad.
Yes, that's what made that anecdote in whatever book that was in so funny
Thought that was Eli? No?
Lol, no way, not sure if you are kidding. I recall Snead hitting a HUGE pass of about 70 yards that the Gators never recovered from. Rest in Peace
At one point, he had #1 pick hype. I'm not that sure about what happened with his career, but this kid could sling it
