When does he decide?
Cant lose this one this time
We need big uglies in the middle in the worst way, especially with Shuler and perhaps Slaton departing. Kyrie and hopefully Conliffe returns and signed one DT last year. I would sign 4 DTs, as history proves few work out in the end.
I'm not opposed to loading up at DT similarly to OL last year.
The more DTs the better we have struggled a bit on the inside
It's hard to have too many DT; however, LSU obviously went over their limit. Jalen Lee or Clyde Pinder, if we do or do not get Tim Smith would be a good complement to Dexter on the DL. They both can hold the line and have some burst/disruption and like to wrap up. I am a bit concerned though that DT is great in state next year also, and despite having 20 commits, we have some significant needs/wants yet: GT or JUCO at OL, RB, DE, S, 2WR along with a GT WR if possible. Will we keep a scholarship or 2 in the pocket for transfers? The numbers crunch is starting to take place.
Signing 4 DT’s would be excellent. With Goods, Dexter, and JB and the addition of either Lee, Pinder, or Smith would just be icing on the cake. All being 4* guys and tremendous size with all being ABOVE 6’2 and 290+ besides JB.
Don’t sleep on big DT Jaelin Humphries from last years class. UFs roster has him listed at 6”4 320lbs he redshirted this year. I’m eager to see if he plays a lot next season
Idk why peeps keep forgetting him. Guess he's been out of sight, out of mind
I know the pipeline is thin at DT, but I think we’ll see brown at ssde. Just not enough snaps.
Either that or we have some upcoming attrition that nobody is expecting
Lee will officially visit December 13
there always be attrition, if we sign 4 DT, probably only 2-3 will actually contribute.
Right now, Lee looks like ours to lose..I’ve heard talk of Bama & his interest. But, their main target is McKinley Jackson as of now. Lee visited a whole back with his entire family and he spoke highly of the school/staff. He is also signing early from all indicators as nothing has changed that. So, he’s set up one visit now & that’s to UF if the 13th which isn’t even a week before signing day..this is someone the staff won’t hold off on, the commitment will be accepted.
Our new DL coach is a good recruiter and does a good job of staying in touch with the kids and building relationships. I’m told the HS kids feel close to him, particularly the ones in 2021, ... Establishing a strong foundation for the future
Turner has turned out to be a very good hire. Being a very good recruiter on the dline is exactly what we need too. 2021 could be a big recruiting year overall.
Him and Robinson will keep our front 7 very formidable for years to come.
Good chance Robinson becomes our DC in few years
