But how would Israel get the manpower into Israel necessary to take the site and destroy it? Even with air superiority. That is a daunting task inside Iran against a large army in a land with difficult terrain.
Again, all you have to do is read this thread to see blood liable from you. Once again, provide any proof of this assertion that is not from a French website or a so-called expert that is actually on Russia’s payroll.
I know. But do you think they're as aggressive as former Mosssd spies in gathering kompromat on Americans and would their gov'ts be as likely to use that information to blackmail politicians and,a draw America into wars?
A lot of posters need to understand the difference between hating Jews as individuals and disliking the influence Israel has on American politicians. Israel was founded on land theft, terrorism and ethnic cleansing. Look up the terrorist acts of the Manachem Begin led Irgun List of Irgun attacks - Wikipedia
Khamani has a death wish after a missile struck a hospital in southern Israel and three more civilian targets were hit overnight, just after daylight in Israel. I stayed up late watching live on YouTube what had transpired with the Iranian missiles. I think hitting the hospital is the line in the sand moment that will result in Trump's final approval for a major attack. When the US military is in place, look for the B 52s to finish off the nuclear while Israel finishes off the Iranian government and its ballistic missiles which are no longer acceptable. Those missiles are a threat to Israel and every other country in the region. Khamani has already said he won't hesitate to use the missiles to attack other oil producing countries if Iran's oil production is attacked.
I’m not suggesting that this is necessarily the best idea, but the implication is that with air superiority, Israel can cut off the site from major resupply and reinforcements, insert blocking positions at the avenues of approach by airborne to keep even small groups of Iranians from reinforcing, then insert a main raid force via airborne and take the site out until one brick does not sit upon another brick. You continuously resupply by airdrop and smoke anything that approaches by ground. Now how do you get your friendlies out again? Among the group you drop in are forces capable of paving an expeditionary airfield. When it’s over, you land some C-130s and extract your force. Of course, that’s far simpler to write and brief than it is to execute. But we are talking about the same government that pulled off Entebbe, which no one thought could be done.
Are we sure Israel lacks the capability to drop the smaller bunker-busters? Seems the F-15 (and F-16?) can perform this task and seems as though the IDF has some of those: Israel’s Fleet of F-15s and F-16s Is Massive—and Highly Specialized - The National Interest USAF F-15E fighter drops 2.3-ton ‘bunker buster’ bomb for the first time - AeroTime
I don't hold anything against Israel before and after the Holocaust. Germany was persecuting Jews almost immediately after Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933. The Irgun list had a lot of violence as the Jews were being persecuted greatly in Europe/Germany. The call for a Jewish homeland was strong. Never Again! The Hope is an excellent novel. It is an historical fiction by Herman Wouk cut out of similar themes as Wouk's Winds of War and War & Remembrance, both excellent reads. The book is based on historical facts plus usage of both fictional and real characters. The Hope (novel) - Wikipedia The Hope is a 1993 historical novel by American writer Herman Wouk about pivotal events in the history of the State of Israel from 1948 to 1967.[1][2][3] These include the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, the 1956 Sinai War (known in Israel as "Operation Kadesh"), and the Six-Day War. The narrative is continued in the sequel The Glory. The good news is you can check out The Hope from your local library. That's what I did although it took about 6 weeks before I could get from whomever was reading it at that time. You get a much better perspective on how Israel became, well, Israel. Note on Herman Wouk. He was a Jewish Naval officer during World War II. His writings go deep with war as the theme. He also wrote The Cane Mutiny, a huge success. Both Winds of War and War & Remembrance were made into outstanding miniseries in the 1980s.
Israel does have this ability, but the smaller bunker busters cannot do the job needed. At least that is what I've seen said by military specialists on Fox News, Fox Business, and Newsmax.
Here's the article on "burrowing" with smaller bunker-busters: Not only did Ruhe offer the unlikely but not impossible scenario where Israel might "storm the site in a commando raid," but he said that Israel could use F-15s, escorted by F-35s, to deliver multiple 5,000-pound bunker busters over Fordow, utilizing the same burrowing tactic the U.S. would likely employ. Such a strike, he admitted, would "achieve a more limited definition of success" than the MOP could. The U.S. and Israel are likely to have different goals in targeting Fordow, Ruhe said. "Americans tend to think of obliterating targets," Ruhe said, whereas Israel would "probably be fine with saying they knocked back the operations there by a year or so." Ruhe estimates that the bunker busters may not completely destroy the facility, but that it may be considered a success if it were to knock out the power source to Iranian centrifuges, or making "the air too polluted" for centrifuges to operate. How bunker buster bombs work and how they could destroy Iran’s Fordow nuclear site
If anyone is spending the resources to attack the Iranian nuclear sites they need to do more than knock them back a year or two. Exterminate the site. Leave nothing behind.
