Still waiting on more confirmation this is true but if it is, this is a big win for Israel.

For a people who have been defined by what happened to them in WWII, I find it absolutely unfathomable that their Government would resort to an ethnic cleansing campaign, and that the people would stand for it.

Yes I do. What's more alarming is you don't think that some place like the NYT's would intentionally misrepresent a story. I don't think any media entity is above that, be it Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC or the NYT's.

"Ethnic cleansing"? Might be a good idea to turn off the Hamas propaganda for a bit...

can’t tell if serious. For first time the entire Arab league condemns Hamas and tells them to end this and release the hostages you chose that day to repeat ethnic cleaning propaganda? Sounds like a troll trap

And … you’d be correct. Because there is no ethnic cleansing taking place.

By the same token, wouldn't the NYT cater its coverage to Israel in order to keep access there?

And it should be noted that that reporter hasn't worked for the AP since 2011.

No because Israel is an actual functioning Western style Democracy and they do not threaten to murder journalists that write articles critical of their government.

Got it but do you really think Hamas has evolved since the time he was there? Oct 7th seems to prove that they have not.

I agree with you. Nor is there "genocide."

There almost certainly have been war crimes committed by the Netanyahu govt though. He has brought great shame upon the nation of Israel.

No, because Israel isn't a terrorist organization. Not sure why some people can't grasp this...

    Meanwhile, today's New York Times:

Anger Over Starvation in Gaza Leaves Israel Increasingly Isolated
Global outrage at the Netanyahu government’s actions has grown since the war began, and the suffering of children in the enclave has accelerated the disdain.

I hope you do not think I am saying you are defending Hamas.

I get that people want to believe that newspapers and media outlets would not shape their coverage to what a morally despicable group like Hamas demands but in that part of the world, it happens.

I also do not think people realize just how much the UN and aid organizations are in bed with Hamas.

Wouldn't you say the Arab League coming out and telling Hamas to disarm, hand over the hostages, and end the war is evidence that this article is a little off the mark?
