You are quoting an article you cannot even read. Could not shell out the $30 to read it?

Is it painful for you to watch 30 year old US technology wipe the floor with the newest capabilities that Russia and Iran can produce today?

Kudos to our troops for flawless execution of a difficult mission. My Air Force reserve nephew pilots those in-air refueling planes and although he has been placed on active duty, he was not a part of last night.

Time will tell if it was the right decision. Anyone either high fiving or doom saying today doesn’t know how this will end.

And spare me the “Congress declares wars” line. Congress has abdicated its authority to the executive branch for the past 40 years, right or left. They can’t pick and choose which parts of their job they want to do. Either do it all, and risk the political fallout, or GTF out of the way, regardless of your party.

No need to read the article, obviously it is about Pepe Escobar's ability to predict the future.

As far as Iran and Israel, I'm a fairly neutral observor. I want to avoid dumb wars and bring Iran into Western civilization. And I want the genocide in Gaza to stop. The US has enough enemies.

Iran is firing relatively cheap missiles at Israel that do a lot of damage. Israel spends FAR MORE than the cost of an Iranian missile to intercept it. Iran wins that game.

What is the cost of their launchers, S-400/300's, F-14's, F-5's, the lives of the leadership of the IRGC?

Brag about it if you want but it may not age well. Like I said yesterday, both sides are engaging in propaganda and time will tell us what comes from the box of unintended consequences partly opened 10-days ago and blown open yesterday.

Astounding how Vance and most pretty much all members of this administration are little more than trolls trying to shape public opinion in whatever lowest denominator it brings them to. They regularly make public statements that would get people a ban from this message board.

As usual and always, it's impossible to remember it all because there's just so much of it, but this is the type of crap we should remember when there are shootings and acts of political violence. J.D. Vance just publicly called his political opponents both dumb, and literally responsible for violent, erroneous foreign policy because of it. Not because they made an incorrect but well-intentioned analysis or decision.

This kind of crap can definitely push unhinged people to mentally justify violence. Just astounding how many people are so tolerant of it - and refuse to acknowledge its -and their own- role in encouraging the violence.

Agreed that we do not know how this all ends. I will say that if you offered a similar opportunity to Obama while Clinton and Gates were in the cabinet, he would probably would have done the same thing.

Crazy to say stuff like this and then actively orchestrate the current war with Israel and it's "neighbors".

If they wanted anyone to believe that maybe they should stop assisting with the conversion of infrastructure aid into weapons, training of terrorism in schools, building of military infrastructure inside hospitals and schools (paid for by other countries I might add), etc...
