Asked and answered. Technically the Iranian government was complying. But you have to go along with the fiction that the IRGC is not the Iranian government. Are you saying you support that fiction?

I think you answered your own question .... because more important than my opinion - the Trump Administration (twice) signed off that Iran was in compliance. So clearly they supported that, uh .... "fiction(?)."

Mike Pompeo has lost a lot of weight. He looks like a completely different person.

The inspectors would have given verifiable evidence. They would have been extracted or to your point murdered or hostages. It would have complicated the situation, but simultaneously united a global coalition.

It’s possible, but the admin is already drawing a zero retaliation line.

Just a delusional, little Russian troll that I keep off my blocked list because slapping him and his ridiculous sources around amuses me.

our stealth tech is superior and many of their radar sites were destroyed. Additionally, we have the ability to knoww exactly what their radar see's and project out false data for it to read.

Before the attack, republican leadership was notified. Democrats denied being notified before the attack. I heard on Fox News late last night that republicans had been notified before the attack but democrats not. Sean Hannity of Fox had an interview in the WH with Trump prior to the attack, so Fox seemed well informed, more so than the democrats.

If democrat leadership was not notified, that would likely be because they are all in on Trump Derangement Syndrome and ongoing insurrection on, well, everything Trump was elected to do. Could the democratic leadership be trusted not to leak or even comment before the attack?

Democrats this morning are calling the attack an impeachable offense:

The Problem With Democrats Calling Trump’s Strike on Iran’s Nuclear Program 'Impeachable'

Adam Schiff: Trump's Iran Strikes Were 'Not Constitutional'

Impeachment loses all meaning when everything Trump does and says is an impeachable offense to democrats in congress.

    EDIT:

Added Townhall link to article to list the democrats calling for impeachment of President Trump. Also, Watermelon Head on CNN. It must be unconstitutional if Shiff says so on CNN. He has never been known to lie.

They were required to be notified within 48 hours. Hegseth said they were notified after the aircraft left iranian airspace. Its already well known Democrats were against any action so if you want to keep plans a secret, the last thing you can do is notify a democrat.

Nuclear program destroyed. Not interested in regime change. Seems like offering Iran an off ramp makes sense.

Well, we have an understanding at least. You are willing to mentally segregate the IRGC from the rest of the Iranian government and give them a pass for anything and everything they did to continue progress toward gaining a nuclear weapon.

By the way, I don’t think it’s “okay” for the Trump Administration to have gone along, even for a short while, with a happy fiction any more than I do the Obama Administration. Some people opposed that deal just because it was Obama’s and supported canceling it just because it was Trump. That’s not me. I serve the United States, not either of these political parties. Whether I end up being right or wrong, you can count on me to give it to you straight. Again I say, I think President Obama was absolutely right to pursue a deal with Iran even when a lot of his political enemies said otherwise. Where he went wrong was not immediately responding to new information because it was politically embarrassing.

The purpose of the deal was to keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons. If it wasn’t doing that, then it wasn’t serving its purpose, at least not our purpose. The purpose was not to keep up a happy fiction about compliance while work went on surreptitiously. The purpose was not to maximize the armament of Iranian overseas proxies. And the purpose was not merely to “slow down” Iranian progress while the previous two things were going on. I don’t know (yet) if the President was right to direct these attacks yesterday. But I do know, even if he has been wrong about 1000 other things, he was right to end our participation in that embarrassing, farcical deal and twist the economic screws to Iran.

Obviously… that was a red herring alternative to my “or”. What was the purpose of telling Iran ahead of time? Was it to just alert them we were one and done? The admin has publicly disclosed they told Iran. Ultimately this campaign might be a great accomplishment for Trump. Kudos to him. But we need to see the evidence of success and that Iran is now behind by decades, or long enough for the Iranian “Assembly of Experts” to oust Khamenei and elect a moderate. Regime change and getting the Iranian people out of that theocracy is all that can save the world.

I believe the War Powers Act says that the Speaker of the House and the President pro tem of the Senate must be notified within 48 hours.

Good clip on CNN. The BDA folks at DIA and CENTCOM are in for a tough week.

I was being tongue in cheek about inspectors. It would have been moot. They would not have been allowed near anywhere actual weapons-grade refinement was going on. Therefore, not near anywhere we would have been bombing. I was just making a joke. Our “inspectors” have been the Israeli agents who have penetrated this program far deeper than anyone thought possible. And that’s how we’re going to get whatever BDA we get.
True, but I would point out that we allowed Iran to throw their temper tantrum back in January 2020 after Soleimani and made no move to destroy their missiles, etc. I think there was an unofficial understanding about the need to save face. There could be again.
