LOL. The only group wanting genocide is Hamas, the group you are defending. Great take...

I'm in the camp we should limit what we give to Israel. And I agreed with Biden on not giving them the high yield bombs.

I fear with Trump and Bibi, the far right Zionists will take more control and we'll see more ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians. And I certainly don't want American made weapons or American taxpayer money being the force behind this.

If Hamas had not attacked, killed and raped the Israelis at the Coachella Festival, would Israel have bombed Gaza into oblivion? If your honest answer is no, then you have all the information you need.

If your answer is the good people at Lollapalooza deserved it because that is the only outlet Hamas has against Israel, then you should re-examine your position.

And as long as we're quoting Star Trek, if I could perfect my Tantalus device from the Mirror Mirror episode, problem solved.

Approximately 1.782 million, or 18.1% of the Israeli population, are Muslim. These Muslims live peacefully alongside their Jewish and other religious communities, participating in all aspects of Israeli life. Some Muslims even serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), defending their nation.

Black people voted, ran businesses, participated in civic life and served in the military during the American version of apartheid too, big deal

Israel is in this position because any time they get very serious about going after Hamas, all the Hamas supporters start screaming "It will be a genocide!" and start putting pressure on the US to tie Israel's hands, which the US has done. All of this has ended up in Israel never really being given a green light to truly go after ending Hamas's rule in Gaza, which has in turn resulted in more Palestinians suffering under Hamas. Hamas has clearly stated they do not want peace and only want to inflict Oct 7th style attacks on Israel every chance they get.

It is time to let Israel go do want they need to do to remove Hamas from Gaza. I doubt it will be a "genocide" and it would be worse to condemn the Palestinians in Gaza to be ruled over by Hamas for the foreseeable future.

Iran also allows religious minorities in the government and the military, even women too. So congratulations to Israel and Iran, I guess.

Just because someone is critical of Israel's policy on Gaza, doesn't make them antisemitic. Come on now.

Let's stop pretending there are any good actors here. We've been back and forth on this shit for 50 freakin' years. Palestinians had a great deal on the table in the early 90s that they should have taken and have never gotten a better offer since. And for the first time (and last) in my life I agree with MTG on something. Israel can take care of themselves and they don't need our help with this or Iran.

Time to give this entire region our collective backs.

As far as I know there is no legislated Jewish supremacy. But yes they are a Jewish state.

What do you think would happen if they became a non Jewish state?

what rights do non Jews who live in Israel lack?

Is it your demand that all Muslim states abandon their religious ties?

unlike these Muslim states, that more often than not integrate some degree of Islam into law, Israel does not do that, as far as I know. Correct me if I’m wrong.

How does someone join a group like Hamas? In general, they draw from within the Palestinian. Hamas enjoys wide support from the Palestinians, and yes, the propaganda after an Israeli attack results in more Palestinians going from support to joining the cause. And how do you distinguish between a Palestinian who just supports Hamas and one who has joined? You don't.

It's the nature of guerilla terrorist groups. And yes, part of the cycle is Hamas and the Arabic world crying ethnic cleansing against Israel. But Hamas isn't completely wrong. Hamas like any terrorist group is like a cancer. Leave one cell, and it will grow back. The only way to be sure? Wipe them out completely.

It's a no-win scenario. To believe otherwise is engaging in wishful thinking.

Ok, lets stop doing that. So lets stop funding and aiding one of the bad actors. Really all I can ask from America.

At least 50+ years if we're going back to Munich. But actually longer than that.

I agree in principal with respect to Israel. But, man, was Oct 7 the most self-defeating act ever? The literal first words out of my mouth when I saw that story were, "They just signed their death warrant."

Just Crazy. In a way, I get the hail-Mary. If Israel and Saudi officially tie the knot, it's officially over for the Palestinian cause. And I guess the calculus was the hope for an Arab Spring type event on behalf of the Palestinians? Talk about strategic and tactical failure. Which brings me to my second thought that day, "Does Mossad actually control HAMAS?" With something this self defeating, one has to wonder. Bibi was on the ropes politically and they threw him the greatest lifeline ever.

And as far as Muslim countries go, I would absolutely say a precondition of military aid should be not using it to kill civilians within their borders or claimed territories, especially out of religious bigotries and nationalistic impulses. Like I would 100% kick Turkey out of NATO for oppressing the Kurds or whatever.

your link said it was largely symbolic and declarative in nature. I’m certainly not a fan of it, and apparently a lot of Israeli citizens aren’t either but I don’t this law really changed anything. Hamas and others were attacking Israel long before this law.

What about the rest of my questions?

So are you saying these countries must completely disclaim their Muslim identity in government or disclaim the use of violence in the name of Islam. Seems like you moved the goal posts. You demanded Israel completely disclaim its Jewish ties. I don’t think that Israeli perpetuates violence against non Jews within its own territories.

Yes, its symbolic of their ideal of Jewish supremacy. What would you make of it if the Republicans passed a law that said only Christians could determine the course of the nation? What would that tell you?
