At one point, Israel was less wrong than the Palestinians. That ship has long since sailed. But the question becomes, if the Palestinians are being funded by ME countries, what happens to Israel if we stop funding them? The status quo stalemate where nobody wins is probably a better situation than having one or the other side winning, which would result in the slaughter of many innocent lives.

Back in the 1960's, Star Trek had an episode called "Private Little War," Keeping a balance of power where both sides can kill each other at smaller levels isn't a perfect solution. But it's better than allowing one side to completely kill off the other. The key is keeping the levels equal.

If the roles were reversed there would be ethnic cleansing going the other way. See Oct 7. I used to side with Israel in these conflicts but have king since realized, until the Messiah graces us with a return to earth and these people see past their own religions and ethnicities, this will go on forever. We are several thousand years into this at this point

So we should arm Hamas too, according to Star Trek, so its on even terms. Because I dont think the balance is equal now in terms of backing from any source.

Well there wont be a situation where there is a Palestinian state and Jews are stateless prisoners within it. But hey anything to avoid reality as it is and excuse changing nothing about our policy with Israel.

The Klingons supplied weapons to the other side in Star Trek. Just like Arab/ME nations are supplying Hamas and the Palestinians.

One side has rockets and small arms, the other an airforce we are giving fighters and smart bombs to. This is not a balance of power lol.

The Messiah returned in 70 AD marking the termination of the Biblical Judaical religious system.

    Oops! Topic for another thread.

Yet, nearly 80 years of conflict, neither side has won any decisive victory.

horse manure- Hamas is lucky after what they pulled that the Israeli's have not gone in and totally wiped them out. Israel has been extremely patient with these terrorist murderers. As far as I am concerned Israel should go in and remove all the Palestinians to safety and then mow all of Hamas down and put it on National TV.

I don’t trust Bibi and he is far from a saint. But Hamas is a death cult and there is no negotiating with them. Flat out Israeli occupation will be better for Palestinians than Hamas governance.

Zionism is a death cult too ... how many people do they need to kill before the world is safe enough for them? This is the sickness of all nationalism. The Israelis have been killing people longer than I've been alive, certainly more Palestinian civilians than Hamas has ever killed themselves.

What? The Palestinians are under defacto military occupation and blockade. The only question is what should a state built on Jewish supremacy do with non-Jewish people in territory they've claimed. The Israeli government's answer is now eradicate/displace them and take the land for themselves to settle Jews, in violation of international law, a thing that would only be possible with the support of the US government.

I know it's hard for some of you to understand that wanting to stop a genoice doesn't mean you are Pro-Hamas

Nearly 80 years of fighting as Israel, and still, Hamas can inflict plenty of pain like the attacks they did on Oct 7. Had Israel had won a decisive victory over the Palestinians, Hamas wouldn't exist, rockets wouldn't be flying, and Oct 7 would just have been another day.

Now it's true Israel has far superior military power. And Hamas is using more guerilla, terrorist tactics. But here we are today, about 80 years of attacks on Israel as a formal country, and many generations of fighting before, and it's more of the same. The biggest difference is Israel now the superior military power and not the guerilla terrorists. Still, neither has ever been able to deliver a knock-out blow.

Israel probably could. But that would be total genocide. And given the Jewish history, there are plenty of Jews around the world, including plenty living in Israel, who oppose this solution. Which leaves Israel with really only one solution. Continued status quo. To quote the same Star Trek episode, "War isn't a good life. But it's a life."

So its the US taxpayer's obligation to support endless war in other countries? If a guerilla force can hold off advanced militaries with endless weapons and ammo supplied by the world's largest arms dealer, the question answers itself as to what happens if we stop funding things, nothing. Because you apparently dont need much support to fight superior force to an eternal stalemate. Sure you will live in blockaded rubble while the other people live in comfort, but to quote your Star Trek episode "its a life."

Abandon Jewish supremacy, learn to live with their neighbors, and make equal citizens of the people in their territory. Same as I would ask of any other ethno-nationalist state on the earth. If they cant do that and its their right not to -they are architects of their own fate, then we have no obligation to them financially or militarily.
