    I love running...

That's the best explanation that I've read on the recruits and the limit on yearly recruiting. I also knew that we would have 27 to 28 spots for this year's recruiting haul. I just didn't know how it worked, until now. Thanks for the link/story, doc.

That’s fascinating that ee can count toward 2 diff signings. The gray shirt stuff was even more so.

I hate running. Unless something is chasing me. I used to run when I was playing baseball but that was it.

I have to hit the gym to lift 4x a week or I'd be a fatty too. Like he said I have a 4 year old, a six year old and I'm in my mid 40s so it ain't easy. I feel for the guy but you either make the time now or concede you are going to die 10 years earlier. Gotta fit it in to be there for the kids.

This could be the 5th year in a row that UF has not finshed in the top 10 in recruiting....

Nice article, but I have us at 65 scholarships today, plus the 23 signed...that's 88. We're already 3 "over", and we're likely to have two transfers (OL from Miss State, and the DL from Louisville)...plus we might sign 2 more out of HS.

We're likely to be around 4-7 over...Which means more transfers and hardships than usual.

We're at 63 (+23) right now. But, we will definitely have some attrition and be fine in the end.

CDM has done everything to make me believe he’s on top of his game and in control of the program. I have no doubt that when the dust settles he will have everything in order and on track.

Found my mistake, we’re indeed at 63. So we’re 1 over today, plus the 2 potential transfers plus signing two more from HS....that’s 5 over (potentially).

Great article. Looks like we have three more ships to give. Additional room for graduate transfers will probably be made by current players transferring out.

We have had a LOT of years where we were not even close to giving out 85 scholarships over the era of the past 4 coaches. I took a look on TOS at a projected spring depth chart, and I counted 7 players who had been passed over on the depth chart without including the incoming freshmen, and I fully expect some of the freshmen to immediately push out some that were not listed as already being passed over.

The players had their first year to see if they could get a fair shake on playing time with the new coach, and some will see the writing on the wall without needing a talk with CDM. Although I think CDM does a good job of promoting a family like environment on the team, some players have to think how hard he pushes them in conditioning is not worth it if they do not get to play and they could play elsewhere. I think we will easily get 85 and more likely that we will have a scholarship left over for a walk on.

There are 4-5 kids that it's very obvious that they should transfer. That's not including Daquan.

Gonna hijack this thread and make it about health.

I also dislike running, but run 8 miles per week (run twice a week) to be there for my kids. I upped my running from 6 to 7 miles a week, cut back meal portion size and dropped 25 pounds over 2 years and got off of cholesterol meds. Upped to 8 miles per week to battle high-ish blood sugar levels (A1C at 5.5).

Yep I have 4 on my list that I'm waiting to hear. Nick Smith was one of them. I won't name names but I will say 1 CB, 1 OL, 1 other WR, and 1 QB (rhymes will Tile Crask).

Excellent clue my friend and not very subtle. Lol. I expect nothing more from you my friend. Theres at least 4 other obvious choices to transfer. This is exactly what we need to start doing. If the kid hasnt produced after x amount of years politely tell them it's time to move on

And fill those spots with kids that can perform. Just like bama.

If a guy decides to transfer on their own is one thing but pushes kids out is wrong headed. Bama is a cess pool and I hope UF doesn't take their cues from them.
