    Thanks Mule.

I just went through the SEC pages totaling the number of returning starters and starters in general and while I was at it, I noticed that only 6 of 56 among the Presidents, Athletic Directors, Faculty Reps or Head Coaches were African Americans, 3 were Women and ZERO were Asians. One, Dr. Valinda Littlefield of South Carolina was both African American and Female, which is a common way of increasing your statistical diversity around the US (she counts in 2 underrepresented groups).

Pct - Tot -Ret - School
    44% - 25 - 11 - Bama
    74% - 23 - 17 - Arky
    56% - 27 - 15 - Auburn
    85% - 27 - 23 - Florida
    54% - 26 - 14 - Georgia
    71% - 24 - 17 - Ky
    48% - 21 - 10 - LSU
    63% - 24 - 15 - Ole Miss
    77% - 22 - 17 - Miss St
    68% - 22 - 15 - Missou
    64% - 22 - 14 - So Carolina
    54% - 24 - 13 - Tenn
    70% - 23 - 16 - Tx A&M
    50% - 26 - 13 - Vandy

So, the number of returnees ranged from 10 (LSU) to 23 (UF) and the total numbers ranged from 21 (LSU) to 27 (UF). This factor influences the percentages, making LSU's higher and UF's higher also (In LSU's case because they have few returning and counted fewer and in UF's case because they counted a lot more as Starters, and are returning a lot).

So, because Bama is at the bottom (only 44%), I assume this means they will have a Rebuilding year, or, more likely, a Reloading year.

Bama is usually 3-4 deep in four and five star athletes at all positions so reloading is more accurate.
There may be Bama fatigue in the SEC and around the country but until somebody knocks them off they're still the King of the Hill.

    Also
    Returning experienced players is important.
But talent level is even more important.

Breezing through the guide on espn, one thing that struck me is that out of these rosters of prototypical monsters for their positions, there were a significant number of all star candidates that did not have prototypical size. That suggests to me how important it is to recruit those who are football players first before considering just the metrics.
