Could this be a causal fallacy? How many pot smokers also live a healthy lifestyle vs non smokers? Limit drinking, eat well, exercise, keep cholesterol in check, etc.

perhaps but using daily 25% higher risk, and weekly 3% higher risk seems plausible.

Klaus Schwab won't fly with pilots who smoke cannabis or those that have been vaccinated.

The base case I’d think somewhere in the realm of smoking? There’s variations I’m sure based on how much particulates end up in the lungs. Bottom line it’s assumed not healthy to inhale any type of “smoke” into your lungs. Hell, forget just smoking, this is why air quality maters. Why environment matters. Breathing “dirty air” is nominally worse for lifespans too. Obviously the key difference is smoking is a choice. Many vices are “unhealthy” choices people make in the moment.

The catch with cig smoking is it seems it’s all or nothing. People get addicted and literally smoke all day.

I definitely get high about 3-4 times a week. Smoke and do edibles, but prefer smoking(yes I know the issues). My wife has her medical MJ card. Love it. Only drink maybe once a month now as opposed to 2-4 times a week. No hangover and have lost a lot of weight the last year while also doing taking Tirzepatide. Healthiest I've been in 15 years.

There is also growing evidence that in some cases, especially those with or prone to mental illness can experience psychosis with heavy use, which may or may not have lasting effects.

News flash: Medical Marijuana patients may be more likely to have medical problems.

In tomorrow's news, a study of blood pressure medication shows that users will be more likely to suffer from high blood pressure.

I like how edibles feel, but I invariably feel groggy the next day. Someone told me that some folks feel that if they don't eat when they take them. I haven't really experimented with that but curious if you or others have looked into this issue.

I don’t know. I assume it’s bad, esp if the wood contains any chemicals. I guess to confirm we’ll need you to try huffing wood chip smoke daily for a month or two then get back to us with the results.

Even for those without history of mental illness.

Link has tons of detailed research, for those who are curious.

    Every Brain Matters

Plenty of people using it “chill” out develop severe anxiety which is refractory to treat with prescription meds.
But that’s just what every Psychiatrist I know tells me they see..

I haven't smoked a joint in over 50 years and haven't drank as much as a beer in 30 years but my doctor prescribes ambien as a sleep aid and that shit gets me high as a kite. I do some stupid shit when I wake up while still under ambien and fix myself a midnight snack.

I would prefer to eat the crust of my brisket, ribs, or chicken every day and take my chances

I used to work in the cannabis industry (corporate). Always felt conflicted- I wasn’t a gung ho supporter nor detractor. I looked at it as people have choice whether or not to buy, and it’s relatively safer from a known source (versus who knows what off the streets).

I've taken the edibles and they are fine, I've never felt groggy the next day for sure. Only time I'm lagging the next day is if I drink and smoke some. I've been doing it 3-4 times a week for a few years. Actually haven't felt this good in a long time.
