California is generating 59 new businesses every single hour. Despite the Burger joint moving their HQ, I am pretty sure California and its $4.1T GDP will be just fine.

California Ranks Second as America's Business Creation Hub

I used to live two blocks from an In-N-Out in San Diego. It was OK but I don’t think it merits the cult following.

Wasn't there a diner called "in and Out" in Gainesville in the 70's? I seem to remember one down on University.

It was bait. You took it. That's on you.

Now, back to Epstein, which is what this post was designed to deflect from. I suspect we'll be seeing a lot of these in coming days as the wheels slowly, but surely, fall off.

Reading between the lines, I'm guessing this is a precursor to a big move east. . . and a massive decline in quality as they try to go from regional to national.

I wouldn’t really consider it a cult following. For myself, it’s a much better product than the overwhelming majority of their competitors, but it’s only a couple of $ more in cost. I’m not comparing them to a good club burger, but compared to other chain fast food burgers they are outstanding.

Apparently it’s not even completely true. Their main headquarters is moving from Irvine CA to Baldwin Park, CA in 2029 - which was also the site of their original locale.

The TN location is going to be their east coast HQ. The Heiress is moving herself out there as well, to a state without individual income tax. So MAGA is giving themselves attaboys because a burger joint’s HQ2 is opening Tennessee and a billionaire decided to move to a state with 0% income tax. Mmkay. :emoji_joy:

Wasn't there an In and Out Burger in Gainesville? Maybe it was un-affiliated. Thought is was on 2nd avenue, kind of near the Covered Dish (Ditch).

Went to the Shake Shack when it opened in Midtown (Tampa). They asked me if I had a reservation. I turned around, haven't been back since.

Really? I’ve been to one of the ones in Orlando a few times and don’t remember being particularly busy (maybe I went off hours but I’d go so far as to say NOT busy at all) . Your experience must have just been part of its grand opening or something?

I thought they were merely “ok”. Better than Fast Food for sure, but that’s about it. The burgers probably on par with Five Guys or Culver’s. Five Guys has WAY superior fries. So I guess you have to care about the shakes, and they did have a few funky shake flavors.

mom and pop, not part of the chain. Double double and fries after putting alcohol on board back in the day.

No, the west coast chain has been very deliberate in how they expand. They stay within easy reach of their distribution centers so they keep fresh ingredients.
