I guess I’m confused. I read the bolded quote as you are taking it out on the coaches and players for “the way things are run now “. I don’t care for the direction college sports are heading now either but if you put any of the past players or coaches in today’s environment they are going to do what they can to benefit from it. They are both just trying to navigate through these issues to the best of their ability. The ones making the rule decisions are the ones to take it out on.
I don't disagree with most of what you say but not liking the present state of affairs is not taking it out on the coaches or players, just like not liking sweet tea is not taking it out on anyone that works for a sugar producer.
