It’s subtle but the guys are definitely finding some fluidity. Scottie is beginning to look comfortable and really assert himself. Key is playing exactly as he needs to and shots are beginning to fall.

Scottie with his best game of the year. Really filled the stat sheet and think he had zero turnovers too. Hopefully now he (and White) see his roll on the team - playing the top of the press and the 1-3-1 zone. He's so lightening quick, once he gets a steal it's lights out. Think he had 3 dunks, had 1 or 2 on the season prior to today.

I liked Johnson at point forward with Nembhard playing off ball for a stretch.

It's too late. I bailed on the season after 4 games. Everyone here said it was all over......

Glover looked sharp second half. I like our future too.

Knocking down the 3’s was big. Great movement of the ball creating the open looks from deep.

This program plays the best basketball when our backs are against the wall. It's been the theme for the last few years. Hopefully we can take this momentum home on Sunday. Our guys can enjoy the next day off and have some much deserved fun (without breaking the law).

Glover may be better offensive talent than AN. Certainly quicker.

Sometimes guys feel less pressure when they're the underdogs.

I want revenge on UConn, but I'll take a win over #18 Xavier too.

This team really needs both offensively. AN had another 9 assists today, good for him. Good job of attacking by Glover too. Lazy turnovers hurt both of them though.

I agree. We may have found the formula to make a run.

A tournament is exactly what they need. Games in close proximity with something on the line. And hell, we almost scored 80!!

Was there something specific you were questioning?

Many posters here, had they integrity, would publicly issue mea culpas for their assurances that CMW was an idiot for changing his approach to the team.

He made the point that he needed to address them differently and there was almost uniform critical analysis about how "this coach doesn't get it." He doesn't have an offense," "Changing his approach will not fix things." "He is totally over his head," ad infinitum.

    Golly, maybe he knows something?!?
Yes, it is too early to tell, but so were the overwhelmingly negative opinions about this season.

What I like is that even if we shoot 6-19 from 3 (instead of 10-19), we win.

We shot well today, but didn't need a killer game from 3 to get the W.

    Good overall effort and performance.

We (I) tend to forget the positive domino effect that a good game can result in....Hit some shots, get some easy buckets, get some effort-based loose balls, and suddenly the morale goes up and the team starts to believe a bit and play more confident.

Let's see what happens next game...I'd love a Uconn rematch.

Fingers crossed, I kinda want UConn again so we can avenge that debacle.
