that is all...
I enjoy everything much more after a Gator win!!
As opposed to a loss or as opposed to what you had to endure in the game thread?
A loss. Sky is falling, fire a coach, fire anybody mentality ....
Easier to keep ones sanity after a win.
Different group of people show up. I avoid 5he board after a loss. Certain people seem to relish the chance to post negative comments. One of 5he best things about Gator Country is that it is, for a sports board, fairly consistently positive and filled with fans who love our gators.
I enjoy the boards after a loss. Frankly, there's more activity and it's fun to read some of the hyperbolic posts. Maybe I relish the opportunity to disagree with some; I don't know. And I'm not one to post mostly after losses.
The board is therapeutic for us all . . . just in different ways.
I prefer castor oil
Hi Bogey - Well sure. I think the humiliation of the S Carolina game has created as much vitriol as I have seen about CMW since his initial hire.
I understand posters right to criticize, especially after a fiasco like S Carolina however I must say I was not expecting some suggesting his being ousted or not up to the job.
Myself I see this years group not being that different from last year - up and down. Just don't have "Cheese" making all those incredible plays, lets face it Nembhard is just not as exciting as Cheese but I temper that with the fact it's not really fair to compare Freshman Nembhard to Senior Cheese.
I tend to agree with posters that CMW has not been particularly successful recruiting bigs (That can get on the court). Nevertheless we have some really exciting talent coming in and hopefully between transfers and recruiting CMW will get that fixed.
I'm on the "stay the course" path and remain optimistic that the team will "find it's offensive identity" as the year plays out.
Cheese could certainly be exciting, but I find Nembhard's passing (and lack of turnovers) to be pretty exciting in its own right!
Nemb is a great kid and we are fortunate to have him.
