While this is a real loss for UF, this is a wonderful opportunity for Coach Scott. What a great, historical University. I wear a Howard T-shirt in honor of history and courage.

True story: I wear the shirt instead of that of my own alma mater. While vacationing in The Adironcacks. a large Black man said, "I see you." as I walked past his booth. I was not sure what I heard, walked back and pointed to my shirt. He smiled and shook his head, yes. I smiled nodded at him and walked on. He gave me an enormous smile as I left.

It was a great moment. People just wish to be seen with respect.

Congratulations to Larry Scott, he very much wanted to be a HC.

Joining the UF staff right now has to be extremely attractive to potential candidates. UF is ascending and clearly headed to the upper tier level, again. Go out and poach a top-shelf TE coach from another program Dan!

    I nominate this guy:

Larry Porter - Football Coach - Auburn University Athletics

My #1 choice would be James Coley. Mullen should be able to convince him that it would better for his career to ditch A&M and come to UF because he’s already learned everything there is to be learned from Jimbo Fisher.

We need an ace recruiter in this slot. Perfect opportunity to up our game and take advantage of a potential title run next year.

Wouldn't this be the perfect time to lure Kerwin back into the fold, as a TE coach, rather than just an analyst??

Well done.I was only 2 points away from getting accepted at Yale and Harvard.
    They wanted a 4.0 and I had a 2.0.
    Just missed

Had National Merit to UF, most of my colleagues went to UF and was a season ticket holder for 30 years. Always a rabid Gator fan.

Jeff Banks is Bama’s TE and Special Teams Coach. He has coached RB’s as well. He’s coached for Saban for 2 years and is probably ready for a change. Would love to take one of Nicky’s coaches.

Agree the Auburn TE Coach is an outstanding recruiter. Clemson seems to always have great TE play as well.

I guess you must be right....

Kerwin wouldn't have ANY recognizable name, or familiarity with the Gator brand....so he wouldn't be able to recruit at all.

Do you really think Bells name is recognizable to a high school kid? He might be a heckuva recruiter, I dont know. I would question if he wants to be all in on recruiting...but I also questioned if he would want to be an analyst. I'm not sure how much recruiting Kerwin has ever had to do, but I know it's never been on UFs level.
