UF had a visit from Carsyn Baker this past weekend, Baker stated UF moved up in his recruitment. Baker is a 4* RB, very fast and if he wanted to come, you got to take him, right? CBN has always and stated as much as he likes to take two every year. So what do you do? IN 26 UF will have-if no one leaves Baugh, Webb, Jackson if he takes his last year, Clark, Gasper, Daniels and Byron Lewis on scholly. Thats 7 with only so many carries. I believe in this NIL world, someone will get an offer to transfer. If you sign a top rated back it almost assures someone or perhaps more than one leave. We haven't seen Gasper on the field yet or Lewis but Clark and Daniels showed flashes during spring. I will go on record with this thought, take a home run guy or skip a year, unless you know for sure someone is going to leave. Candy
I would want to take one but like you said, a home run guy. Easier to recruit a big RB as your only RB in the class. We probably didn't really need three in the last class.
Hopefully one as a couple may go after the season when they see how it shakes out. Jakobi probably makes his plans known to inform his teammates.
Baker is not that highly ranked, but everybody wants him. He is worthy of being the sole back if we take one.
If he chooses, if he has a good year he may do to life span of a NFL RB wish to test the market. BTW I expect him to have a great year.
He won an injuction but it is not settled. Vandy QB Pavia granted injunction, can play in '25 NCAA Appeals Diego Pavia Eligibility Ruling in College Football Case
