Yeah like I said I couldn't verify it was Cuba. That picture was actually sent to me by a friend who is Cuban born. We were discussing universal healthcare in Cuba. When I posted it I googled Cuban hospital pictures and the same picture was one of the worst pictures. Like I said I couldn't verify it so I stated that. The others were not exactly the hospital rooms I would want to be in but were better than that. Probably is Haiti.

Sure, if they can manage to stay alive long enough to reach the top of the years' long waitlist to avail themselves of the graces of that incredibly generous (with other ppls money) single payer.

    Yes, so it would appear.

Many of Cuba's that I've seen, are far nastier.

The problem of waiting in Canada isn't a wait for emergency or other services where time is of the essence, it's a wait for non-essential elective services like knee or hip replacement surgery where the wait can be up to one year. Although Canadians complain about the wait times with their single-payer system virtually none want to replace it with the American system where payment for services is provided through for-profit insurance companies and where the uninsured can lose their homes as the result of bills for medical services which they are unable to pay.

You are free to move to Haiti anytime you want... Not going? I wonder why?

Interestingly most healthcare in Haiti is provided privately, not through the government.

Yeah ... that's why I said that, Haiti and the worst parts of Africa ... and the US ... utilize the same healthcare approach. I think that point went right over his head.
