[QUOTE ll warns Pelosi's drug-pricing plan is DOA
Senate Republicans are warning Speaker Nancy Pelosi that her much-anticipated drug pricing plan is dead and will not be considered in the Senate.

In an interview, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) ruled out any action on the bill, which would call for Medicare to negotiate drug prices for a minimum of 25 medicines and target drugs that cost the American health system the most. Pelosi rolled out the plan on Thursday to intense opposition from the drug industry, and McConnell.[/QUOTE]
how the hell will anything change when not even an effort is made to bring something up to vote on as basic as Pelosi's plan? Health care costs will never be contained---

The Orange one seems to like Xi as a leader, so this post is not surprising.
Canada provides universal access to health care for its citizens, while nearly one in five non-elderly Americans is uninsured. ... For all that, Canada scored better than the U.S. on two commonly cited health outcome measures — infant mortality and life expectancy.

Based on the latest report, the following countries were found to have the best healthcare:
    • Canada.
    • Qatar.
    • France.
    • Norway.
    • New Zealand.
    • Germany.
    • Hong Kong.
    • The Netherlands.
    Where is the US???

Go back to 2008, why did all the big health ins companies support Obama... Think... they wanted ACA, why?
They get millions of new customers, plans with broader coverage(more $$$$), then they get to help control the rates and increase their profits.

Bought and paid for by your premiums.

That's basically correct, but it is most certainly not free universal health care.

Medicare is not free universal health care.

Not really amazing. Those are kind of small numbers for people running for president.

And, like you indicated, the companies got a system that would be most beneficial to them ... if only Republican governors didn't hate the idea of agreeing with a black president.

Wouldn't have mattered if Ted Kennedy hadn't collapsed at one of Obama's inauguration balls. We probably wouldn't have the stupid term "death panels" in our shared cultural vocabulary.

This is total BS, it has/had ZERO to do with Obama being mixed. Pubs have been against every Dem candidate who brings up Government Mandated Health Insurance.

You're being foolish if you really think OBama's skin tone had anything to do with it.

You know it's a nearly identical plan to the ones introduced by the Herirtage Foundation, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich in past decades, right?

I didn't say mixed. What narrative are you trying to spin? Yes, his mother was white, but the fact that he has Kansas roots and is distantly related to Dick Cheney has nothing to do with the way some people look a person with melanin and an unfamiliar name. Race doesn't have everything to do with it, but it's not a small part of it.

People make up B.S. justifications for their slimy choices all the time.

That wasn't the basis of his assertion. He not so subtly infered the reason Pub Governors didnt support it was because he Obama was black.

To your point I don't know if those plans had the massive Medicaid expansion that the Feds paid for initially but then the states were on the hook for. (Which was a specific objection by many).

No you said Black... why you even mentioned the color of his skin is very clear.
I said mixed because biologically that's what he is.
