Political opinions aside ...was that all students in 2nd deck?

if you can week to week create an home field advantage I think it needs to be an equal playing field

even w 100k fans it’s the 40k that make the noise

And Maryland won't allow any fans at football games in the state.

Kyle Field with 40k my ass. There was at least 50k, if not 60k. That place holds 100k and looked 60% capacity to me, especially with that 2nd level completely FULL.

More than covid guidelines indicate. Doesn’t matter. Our D was atrocious and Davis picked the most critical of junctures to screw up.

  7. The students looked packed together. It had nothing to do with the game but how does the SEC not actually enforce a set percentage limit?

We burned at least 2 TO and had at least 1 delay of game due to the crowd noise, so I think crowd noise played a small factor.
I agree with you that the SEC should enforce limits if there are limits. Maybe it's up to the governors of the state the game is played in?

Supposedly all schools were warned this week of $100k revenue reductions from the SEC office for failure to comply. I would imagine that A&M should be expecting that 'penalty' - which was easily offset by packing the stands.

Heh heh, a little more distance than that. If A&M needed a first down, our safeties were twenty yards downfield, ridiculous. If they were within the ten yard line looking to score, our safeties, star and corners were back of the end zone or behind the goal line, well, I don’t know how you are going to stop a run or pass. What are Grantham and Mullen teaching them? We are political correct, we should win because they told us we are good, so we can be passive, not physical and aggressive. We are nothing close to a defense, in lining up only. Fail by Dan Mullen and Todd Grantham.

That was bs. Both from a public health standpoint (lot if stupid going on) and that it’s “kind of” cheating if they are the only team doing it. Didn’t the SEC have a 25% rule, or was that just what each team originally had (since basically everyone was 20-25%)? I guess it depends on whether it’s an SEC rule or not. Not that anything would likely be done about it either way.

Not sure it influenced the game much, the reality is our defense just stinks.

When players families say they hate to see how that loud that place is when it’s full is telling. It was as loud as LSU last year with half the fans.

Yeah it probably had a very slight influence to bother our offense, just not sure it actually came in to play enough to alter the game. Crowd noise didn’t help their offense against our defense.

But it’s still bs either way.

Looked like about 65k in the stands, especially if that place holds 100K+.

There is no teeth anymore in the SEC or NCAA. This is similar to the stipend for athletes. If you leave it up to the schools, they will push for as much as they can get to gain the most advantage.

This BS of leaving it up to the states creates an unfair advantage for schools who are willing to bend the rules.

Most of the upper decks looked fairly empty, and there were sections that were sparse. But then there were student sections that were fairly packed. Definitely way more than 25%, but I think 40k from the op is a solid guess. 65% and you’d at least have to fill all the way around the lower bowl, but that wasn’t the case. It was just certain sections that looked full.

Not saying it’s why we lost ...we’ve beat them w a full house and said it wasn’t that loud sound it (the manziel game )

but...if the idea no team has a real home advantage in 2020 and then bam 50k show up loud and proud seems like a competitive advantage issue
