Is there an official stat that someone could point me to?

it seems like we had more tonight than we did all season.

Minimum one dozen but more like 15-16. Shorter, Gamble, and Wells were the biggest pass droppers.

And I am sorry to call you out by name gentlemen, but two of you are upperclassmen, and the other one has experience in two of CFBs premier conferences.

    Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I think one or 2 fewer than the number of missed tackles.

Shorter is pretty good when he's your 5th guy. He and gamble surprised me the most tonight. If they make a couple plays, that 2nd int doesn't happen and we convert 3-4 more first downs in the first half. Maybe that game doesn't get completely out of hand.

I know at one point we had 8 dropped passes, that was in the 3rd QT.

I don’t think you can really count Shorters experience in the Big10

I am really high on Shorter so his drops were alarming. The little practice time they got between games wasn’t near enough to have them ready obviously. The time off was the right thing to do but with the shortened bowl season it really showed.

Enough that they should be called "route runners."

Once they catch some passes then they get promoted to receivers.

From my memory Gamble had at least 3 drops, Zipperer had at least 1, and Shorter had at least 2.

Imagine if cope had played....I think they’d just checked out already honestly. I’m not gonna kill them for it. I do however wish we’d call a spade a spade publicly and not poo poo it but whatever. I think we’ll be fine

    What I saw tonight showed:
Cope clear number 1 next year

not sure who number 2 is

High School tight ends coming in could get time if they can catch.

need 2 DT’s and one OLine from portal.

why no deep shots to Henderson?

Whittemore had the best (and possibly longest in the air) catch but never saw him again though I did stop watching after the third. Why? Did he get hurt again or aggravate the old injury?

Anybody know why Whit and Henderson were basically non existent? The only two true difference makers I thought we might have a chance with last night and they are not a focus in the game plan. Continue to watch titans drop the ball, wells not run tight solid slants, and shorter not have a good night. This is the kind of stuff where I think separate Dan and Lincoln. Lincoln would have made it a major emphasis in his game plan to throw it to the two guys that could change things… Wit with his ability to catch everything and ask with his potential to go deep and take the top off. We never threw one people the entire game if I am Whit and X I would be frustrated.

I don’t think the coaches emphasized anyone because I don’t think they installed an actual game plan. Giving the entire team a week off and having only 2-3 total practices with the new guys replacing the vets doesn’t allow for installing an actual game plan.

I think the team showed up for the conference to collect its check and play the young guys. That’s it.

Cite the above b/c of Henderson. Kid is supposed to have great speed but almost never gets open. One could argue that maybe he is open often but never gets balls his way, which given Trask's vision I reject. I think Henderson runs terrible routes (rounded, no moves). I trust Gonzales to fix this.

Shorter had 70+ yards of straight drops, Gamble simply killed drives. Disappointing b/c those guys have played, but I think they found out how hard being "the guy" is. Hoping the silver lining to that dark cloud is that all these receivers realize that they don't become the "next great UF receiver" b/c the last guy graduated or went pro. Lots of Jugs work and route running needed.
