Well you either schedule these kinds of games 8 or 10 years out or not at all.
it's boring, loses all hype.
- The starting lineups are in the 4th grade right about now.
- Who will be the head coaches?
- Will I be alive to watch it?
- South Bend in November? Unless climate change kicks in to get us to 80+ by kickoff, we might want to switch up the dates with Texas.
So far out, nothing is certain except they will be in the Top 5 and on network TV, no matter how bad a team.
Domers in the Swamp. Looking forward to beating them with our guys, currently warming up for Pop Warner.
FCS schools need the money. Without those games, a lot of FCS programs would go under.
This is exciting- but that's a killer non-conference schedule.
Unless we are thinking that FSU will continue to be a dumpster fire, and so playing them will be equivalent to playing an FCS team.
So then we need to upgrade our OOC schedule, so that's why we scheduled ND.
I love the optimism, but wow.
Look out for the dreaded Antarctic Syndrome. @HallGator said something about not kissing penguins but don't hold me to it.
That’s correct. But also, F the FCS schools. When (not if) the Power 5 schools secede from the NCAA to form a new league, the FCS schools are toast anyway.
Finally. Only 15-20 years too late. I doubt I'll even care about it enough to try to go by then. Should've canned JF a long time ago.
Good to get a game against the 2031 national championship runner ups. Hopefully we can beat them by a higher margin than the champs, whoever that is.
My goodness, Ken. You don’t seem to be at least a little bit happy about these games the Gators will be playing in years to come. I think they’ll be very interesting for the Gators. And we will win! Time will tell of course if I’m right or not.
May or may not be interesting. if CDM leaves and we hire a Muschamp or McElwain, then no, probably not going to be exciting. But we have no idea. NCAA may not even exist in 10 years. This college football seems to be on a finite timeline before it shifts to just being a minor league rather than tied to schools.
Awesome, Urban Meyer finally reaches “The Pinnacle” and makes his reappearance as ND’s head coach.
I don't know who the coach will be in 2031 but they will be TICKED at a 12 game schedule of all power 5 schools.
Wilson will probably be flagged for throwing his shoe on the field from the stands that year
Shame they can't schedule these things as quickly as they Re-schedule things during a COVID season.
Wish they had the date locked in so I could go ahead and book my accessible room.
Don’t even say that!
