    Yep, I'm out here too.

I may have been the most far-flung Gator Country member during my 2 years in Guam back in '90 to -'92. But, I've been here in Kitsap County (west across the Puget Sound from Seattle) since then.

Watching the Auburn football game yesterday, I got a big itch to make it back to Gainesville seeing all those blimp pictures of the campus. I kept seeing old Weil Hall off the south end of the stadium where so many of my engineering courses were held. Although I visit Florida annually in the summer to see family and friends in Pensacola (my hometown) and Daytona Beach (wife's hometown), I haven't set foot in Gainesville since I moved away from Florida right before the Spurrier coaching era commenced.:( I do plan to retire (soon!) to Florida, and become a regular at football and basketball games again - like I was before I left.

Loved the Dan Cross, etc. team. Only a truly all-time great player (Grant Hill) exerting his will in the 2nd half was able to derail that Final Four run.

Hey wa_gatorfan! I go back to the M&M boys and stormin Norman. Hard to believe remembering those days that we are now, close to, if not already, a bball blue blood. Dan Cross and da meat hook are great memories. Here's to the bright future I believe we are on the cusp of.

Nice area! We used to drive over often to places like Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, and the Elwha River (where surfable waves would break sometimes). And, I had a couple of projects at the Port Angeles airport about 10 years ago.

Nice to have you onboard WA.
I have a house in Bellingham.
How close are you to the Salish Sea?
Do you go over to Victoria much at all?

Great time to start posting on Gator BB.
Hope we have another run like 2005-2007.

I haven't gone over to Victoria even though I could walk to the ferry from my home. No real reason other than not doing it!

you guys all rock. I'm impressed with the camaraderie here.

Yeah make it over to Victoria when you can, and the rest of Vancouver island. So many great spots

  12. Welcome! I was in Singapore for 12 years and it is harder to get further away from Gainesville than that! What makes this board different is that (most of the time) the posters genuinely like and respect each other. Even when the don’t agree. I am a notorious pumper.

More like the Glaspar era here. Love Cross. Tough as nails and played his position well.

A coach you say. Dont be bashful. Nobody else is here.

That '94 run was fantastic. One or two little things go our way and we would have been in the championship game. But Arky was clearly the best team in the nation.

I go back to the M&M boys as well. Hard to believe the celebrating we students enjoyed just for making the NIT back then and even having a winning record.

Were you in the O'Dome the night SW Missouri State came to play? I'll never forget the Sugar Bears. What a name for their dance team.
