Wow, 2006 hurt just won't heal.
Maybe he actually thinks Kentucky will win and 2006 has nothing to do with it.
I’m the last person to defend Herbie, I think he is an heir to the Massingil fortune, but I seriously doubt he picks against Florida because of 2006
Remember he called the Miami game a few weeks ago. That’s his first and so far, his only impression of us. Until we do something neater I wouldn’t be surprised if he picks against us every week the rest of the year.
yeah. don't think it's a 13 year hate.
however, i think we win 34 - 13.
Yeah. I for one have thought people were crazy to pick against us in many games over recent years that we either lost or won in a nail biter. Actually doesn't give me confidence when we are the upset special now...
Herbie gives hope where hope has left town.
if y’all this nervous against Kentucky , how you gonna feel against LSU and UGA?
It's at least a peculiar selection. UK starting a new QB. Nearly all the rankings favor FL.
The stats tend to favor FL as well, except offensive pts/game, but our defensive is quite a bit stronger.
Gators need to win the turnover battle. We are negative there on the season. Running a bit better wouldn't hurt either, but if we protect the ball, we win.
I don't mind Herbie picking against us. So what if he's wrong more than he's right. Mark May made a living out of picking the wrong team, it was almost comical. What I find interesting is that Herbie is paired with Sean McDonough for the Clemson Syracuse game and Fowler is announcing the Pedophile State game against Pitt with Todd Blackledge.
Actually, I'm a little more nervous about tonight than I will be for LSU if things don't change. If we beat UK and UTn, we are playing with house money against LSU. We'll be a 6-8-point dog, and if we lose that game and then win out, we still go to Atlanta, and are in the playoffs if we win that. Losing tonight screws up everything, and we should win it. Its there for the taking - but we could lose it. That's the kind of game that makes me nervous.
That is weird. Wonder why the split?
I wouldn't say nervous but we certainly haven't shown any reason to be overconfident as of yet
I was trying to figure out if this was a one week deal or a long term change. The only reason that I could think of for a one game switch is that Sean McDonough went to Syracuse. And of course Blackledge went to PSU.
Dunno how true this is but that wouldn’t help UK’s chances.
Our defense is good, but can occasionally give up a big play or third and long. I’m still not sure about our offensive line and our ability to run the ball. That’s key in conference play. Haven’t watched enough of UK, but respect what Stoops has done there. Tonight will be a good test, but if our line can’t block and open up holes for our rbs, we might be in trouble.
I don’t normally say crap like this, but there really seems to be a lack of respect toward Florida right now.
Kentucky is nothing like they were last year, they’ve had to replace 2/3 of their starters, and the dynamic of Florida breaking in a new defensive scheme with all new bodies inside, up front, isn’t there today. David Reese will play, and Benny Snell is gone. These analysts haven’t looked at both teams.
It may not be a blowout, but Florida is not going to struggle to beat Kentucky. This is the wrong matchup for Sawyer Smith to get his first start.
Slap the bacon on Herbie.
We run for 150 yards and give up no more than a couple of sacks we win by 15-20 points. This game is all about UK stopping the run with as few people that they have to commit to the run defense because we should smoke them throwing the ball. They will want to drop LB's to help in the pass defense or play a bunch of nickel/dime defense. Basically an entire new secondary. We struggle to run for 100 yards we struggle to win the game because they've made us throw to win. Our skill at WR is much better than their DB's "if" there is time. Right now, BIG IF!
