has regressed as a corner. Can’t teach his physical skills. But also can’t teach instinct and he ain’t got it.

Sorry but have to disagree. These players have worked their entire lives to get drafted and play in the NFL. They know nothing else. If you or I get hurt while playing in the Turkey bowl with friends on Thanksgiving weekend we can still report to work on Monday. These kids get hurt and it could cost them millions and any shot at making a decent living.

That wasn’t his final year though was it? I thought he sat out an entire year to save himself for the draft

It's starting to get there. NFL fans to blame. That's why they can pay these guys so much money.

It wasn't his final year, but he didn't sit out the entire following year either. He played almost all of his junior year.

Good luck CJ and thanks for being a Gator! I love the post that stated he had never been in trouble, in the tabloids. This guy has been a class act on and off the field for 3 years. He deserves to make this decision with the fans support.

If it were me, I would play. I would take out a HUGE insurance policy but I would play, especially if we are playing UVA.

Wow, no Van Jefferson really? Not that ill click on the link but it doesn't hold much water w me especially w Zuniga at 61 and hes done next to nothing and was easily outplayed by Greenard. Greenard was an absolute blessing to our program. (So was Jefferson)

Thanks to all of the guys who played their assess off for us this year. Good luck fellas.

    Isn’t it obvious?

Players care about winning titles and beating rivals. A bowl game is a glorified scrimmage. There is absolutely zero at stake that has any meaning

These players are human and they are weighing all the factors. The importance and meaning of the game is an important factor

The calculus for every player is different. Joey Bosa is a prime example. But the meaning of the game is certainly in the calculus in some form.

The Orange Bowl will be the least important game of our season.... heck it’s even less important than the freaking Spring game

Lol. He probably received positive feedback from those responsible for scouting these kids in order to give them an idea of where they may get drafted.

You make it sound as if being a 2nd round NFL Draft pick is terrible. Lol cmon man. Give the kid some credit.

College playoffs are where players can leave their mark if they can have a good game. You can make a lot of money putting down film where you are playing against the best players on the biggest stage.

I don’t hold it against any kid. I’d advise my kid to do the exact same thing. Don’t take any chances with that life changing cash. I’ve worked my ass off my entire life and would not wish the same on my children. That said, you couldn’t keep me off the field for one last chance to play with my brothers in the swamp if I were so lucky. But I do dumbshit all the time so don’t follow me if if you expect smart decision making. As far as an athlete, it may for some show what kind of player a team is getting. Will a kid run thru a wall for his team or only stick his neck out as far as he has too. Take the money kid and take no chances till the check clears.

Didn’t Mullen say he’s been dealing with an ankle? No reason to advertise but may explain the lack of bump and run.
