Bader has not been exactly tearing it up at the plate after coming back from injury but I think that is not his main function on that team. Has he been stellar in the field?
The last guy that I remember that was a great centerfielder based soley on fielding was Ken Berry. Yes, I am old. And he was awesome in the field.
The ball player Ken Berry actually appeared in the movie Eight Men Out as a heckler. I think that is his only movie credit. Tip of the cap to John Sayles for a really deep cut on casting him.
