According to Wash Post. I don’t know what her chances are. Looks so much like a Trump-DeSantis race at the moment.
But it will obviously increase her national visibility for the future.

I have noticed her becoming both more active and even more partisan on Twitter lately. That explains it.

Don’t like it. The larger the GOP field the more it helps Trump.

Yeah, that is an interesting quandry. I tend to agree … but what if he does win the general? Actually, would he be any worse than DeSantis?

DeSantis would be worse because he isn't completely insane. He might actually accomplish something - and it won't be good.

It would be funny if all these clowns are so afraid of Trump that none of them announce until the day before the first primary

Maybe this is coordinated with DeSantis?

    Step 1. Haley announces
Step 2. Trump scales up attack on minority woman candidate.
Step 3 DeSantis defends Haley, announces candidacy and Haley is his Vp choice.

    And the field is cleared.

Haley's play is for the VP slot in my opinion.

I mean he can do plenty of bad things, but he would basically be a lame duck the first day in office and he could drop dead at anytime.

Trump will have a tough time attacking Haley. She’s been one of the few that were both solid and loyal to him.

I tend to agree but that was also my feeling in 2016 with the one difference between then and next year is that voters with the exception of those living in the bubble that is the Cult of the Donald realize that he's batshit crazy and will take him seriously.

She’s been increasingly moving far right, into MAGA land. I think that’s a mistake for her. Her best shot is to appeal to the moderates because DeSantis and Trump own the far right.

I tend to disagree. He will tolerate her as long as long she draws votes away from other candidates. If she ends up being a serious threat to him he will attack her the same way that he is attacking DeSantis.

How’d that work out for Pence?

He’ll view her run as a show of disloyalty (as his def’n of “loyal” runs only one way….to him) and crucify her, say she was nothing without him, etc. Just like he has DeSantis.
