Jud on the Os farm..and now this.. Former top-200 recruit Deric Fabian announces transfer to Auburn baseball - al.com
Deric lighting up whatever summer league hes in.. 4 or 5 HR already I saw.. not that anyone here cares anymore..lol
Hes having a nice year all around.. Kind of glad Os didnt go stupid at trade deadline. He would almost certainly been in a big deal based on current stats/value. Still LOTS of traffic in front of him, but glad hes sticking around for now.
Im far from a Cam fan post AU, havent disowned him like I recently did Barkley, but he was the choir boy of that bunch. Not a peep of issues once out of that enviroment..other than just being a weird dude. lol
For the record I've always been a full fledged Fabian fan as long as Jeff has been building houses in Ocala and competing against him in our church league softball days. Betcha didn't know that one most of you Gator Fans!
Ill nee Ill need to see that, considering the state of the bball program at the time.. The reason he choose AU,,b/c wanted to play as an overweight 6-5 PF. You cant take anything he sez seriously lol his other choices were UAB & South Ala. If paid it didnt take much.. Large Pep pizza probably But no, nothing to do with it,, considering the conference , Id consider it a plus if he did.. Who wasnt paid to play in this conference that was any good? I dont care what 'celebrities' politics are ,,unless they choose to advertise it. So hes been on the edge for a while now. his drunken rant couple weeks ago was last straw.. Oh and he didnt even know soon to be MLB rookie of year Gunnar Henderson was AU commit.. Hes no AU guy, just plays one on tv.
Not sure Jud’s trade value is very high right now. He is batting .159 and he is striking out about 45% of his AB’s. The promotion to AA has been tough on him.
You might be right, but he was an athletic freak. I find it hard to believe that nobody wanted him with the exception of Bobby Knight that left him off the Olympic team.
Sad to hear. Jud has a very quick bat and when a Gator was always looking to go yard and not let the game come to him. I see some of that with Cags as well. It will catch up eventually. I think that he has the talent to turn this around. I hope that he has the coaching and ability to listen to good coaches to turn this around. We all know that he is solid defensively with a very good arm. He doesn't have to be Ken Griffey Jr II to have a good career.
Truthfully I didn’t see this when he was at UF. Thought he was an average outfielder. Maybe a couple drops mixed in . Only my opinion.
