I’m as aggravated as anyone about the state of the program but what a great night in the Swamp. 90K+ fans for a a 3 win team. Jaden Baugh running like Emmitt. And no bowl for the Semis… It’s still Great to be a Florida Gator!
Any time we beat the Holes in the Swamp is a great night. That stretch from 2011-2017 with 4 straight losses was misserable. Damn Lumpy and McYellowHorseTeeth for being so incompetent. Glad we have won 3 of the last 4.
First I’ve smiled about anything related to college football in a while. Going out by beating ref$u soundly in The Swamp is still a great way to end a season. Go Gators
Playing 3rd string QBs making their 1st start accounts for those losses. I can't even remember the name of the QB we started 2 yrs. ago against the nulls.
Lost to the Noles my freshman, sophomore and junior year (78-80). Beat them like a rented mule as a senior in 1981, 35-3. Of all the rivalries, FSU is the one that matters most to me. I come from an old Army/West Point family and we rarely had winning seasons to boast about but if you beat Navy, a rivalry more significant than any of UF’s IMO, in the last game of the year, it made everything better. I resumed my usual “don’t watch the game” superstition yesterday. Did yard work but kept track of the score every 30 minutes or so. Seemed like a close one so I better stay away. After showering I settled down to see if it was possible to watch it. Once I saw score was 34-14 is thought “Surely even I can’t blow this lead” and switched over just in time to watch Castellanos throw that desperation TD and the announcer said the Noles now had a “punchers chance” to come back. Nope. Turned back to something else until I saw we’d scored again so I did get to see the last minute. Y’all can thank me for my service to Gator Nation.
Last night makes you think we should have used a one back system all year. Baugh is obviously our most talented back and gets better as the game goes. Another example of poor coaching decisions by Napier.
Couldn't access Ticketmaster at the stadium, so didn't get in. Of course as soon as I crossed University Avenue, popped right up. Only games I had tix too were last night and Texas. So, I would've seen the two best games we had this year. But it was still a great night whipping them again.
You should have gone to the ticket window at O'Connell Center..they could have helped you..I found signing into the UF guest internet also works well
The video posted after the game with the Gator Lineman (?) looking out at the field with the fireworks going off and the people in the stadium holding lights appeared almost magical. Someone need to repost that video in this thread,
It was a great night for Gator fans and players. The only sad thing is that it was also a great night for SSS because it just confirms to him that he can feed the fans $hit and we'll still gobble it up and beg for more.
Had the same problem. Missed the first two drives. The digital ticketing system is just another Cluster F by the UAA that couldn't care less about the fans.
Paid $40 for parking. So yeah I tried crossing the street, but once I got back to the stadium I'd lose the signal.
My nephew tends bar in one of the Sky Boxes and the guy who has the box has had to go down to the gate in the past to get people in. He's complained numerous times about the problem.
