This guy gets it. And he will secure center right folks like myself if he continues making good decisions for the Sunshine State.

Republicans believe in local control and small government. A local government wants to reduce funding for police. Oh, well we didn't mean that type of local control or small government. Better take away their ability to do that.

Who knew that Republicans were so against government reducing spending that they had to take away the ability of government to do it?

The biggest criticism is that it's so broad, so vague. A lot of people could be caught in it.

You hate government, but they shouldn't be able to shrink in size without the governor signing off on it?

So you are in favor of concentrating more power in higher levels of government? Would you label yourself an authoritarian, ideologically?

Hmm, so you have completely cut small government out of the ideals? Given that segregation and racial discrimination in this country are "socially traditional ideas," would you rate favoring them a conservative ideal?

    soon to be replaced with:

favoring corporate welfare (see Exxons 100 billion request) favoring repression of all citizens not business owners, wealth accumulation and no give back, electric chair for any but non "straights".

Just pointing out that "conservative" is just becoming a euphemism for "authoritarianism." The small government aspects of conservatism were always just a cover for maintaining racial social hierarchies. Now that authoritarianism is more and more necessary to do that, "conservatives" are taking up the cause of authoritarianism. Even if they won't outright admit it yet.
