So glad Mann kept shooting in the 2nd half. He's good!

    Decent comeback.

    Keep fighting, Gators!

I imagine the game thread was fugly. Not going to look.

The shots we made in the 2nd half were the same ones that wouldn't drop in the 1st half. Basketball is a funny game. It was nice to see us cut down on the bad turnovers (and yes, I distinguish between good and bad turnovers; and we had some stinkers in the 1st half including a couple by my man Nembhard).

Defense wasn't bad first half, but we really dug in the 2nd half. I'm kind of glad Edwards didn't hog the ball and shoot more tough threes ;)

I saw the halftime score at dinner, tore up my Sunshine Pumpers card, get back to hotel, ready to grab my pitchfork and hit NbN.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK, NOTHING MAKES SENSE! :)

Actually the game thread was not as bad as I expected. I think maybe a lot of people were in shock from the first half

A lot of people have but if we keep winning maybe they will come back. Winning cures most all ills.

I can’t post during a game, no telling what I would say. The first half it looked like a high school team afraid to drive the basket, so they opted out for 35’ three point heaves, I am sure all Florida fans were thinking, “what the heck?” Being kind. I don’t know what happened, if they got their butts chewed or they were so embarrassed that they were determined to be aggressive. All I can say is way to go Men’s Gator Basketball team and coaches, thank you as a fan! Exciting second half.

    ;)

I wanted to be as understated as I imagined the game thread was being overstated - at least before the comeback. Now I hear it wasn't that bad, so good to hear.

I honestly never get completely discouraged during this game. With the shots we were getting and a lot of the shots they had to make, I always felt a comeback was possible.

Would I have bet on us when we were down 22? Hell no!

But, I was fully engaged when we were down 22 (continuing to pace the floor and do my hexes and stuff ) and hoping that Mann, for instance, would just keep shooting despite his oh-fer in the first half. I figured we could flip the script and have a hot shooting 2nd half after a cold-shooting 1st half. We've certainly done the opposite a few times.

Glad he kept shooting, but I have to admit I was yelling, "BRICK!" at the TV in the first half as soon as it left his hands. lol.

You’re supposed to do that when the opposition lets one loose, not one of our own gators!

In the first half it was “Just another brick in the wall!”. The wall to get the ball in the hoop, mental, one player feeds off other players. I think they were all watching the Anthony Edwards show and forgot what they were supposed to do. LOL
