I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps it caused a panic influx from others.

 

I gotta tell ya, I love our kids. Some kids really shine, but we have zero quit from a lot of those guys...

I just think things will be alright. (Doesn't hurt to pray that things will be alright.)

Maybe not transfers, but Ruiz has been pretty quiet on the recruiting trail this year, it seems.

 

Miami just flipped a 5* defensive lineman Justin Scott from OSU. Doesn’t look like they are having big issues recruiting.

 

Just passed UF also.


Before the player rating people jump in, yes UF has a better player rating and less recruits. It's still about optics. Right now UF is behind it's 2 biggest rivals and Miami. UF could lose more recruits or gain more.

Well that the only reason they are ahead optics or not let’s check back on Dec 21st see how this shakes out UF needs to hit the portal hard so we may be forced to take a smaller class

 

They just lost some current players to the portal though including their QB1 van dyke and former 5* RB Don chaney

 

But recruiting nowadays is not just kids not on the team. UM just lost QB 1 and former 5* RB Don Chaney and a couple more to the portal.

 

I wonder if that’s related to our guy (Williams?) rumored to be flipping to osu

 

They play different positions, so unlikely.

 

That QB1 was benched mid season and only became QB1 again after the other kid got injured.

 

Strickland better rev this chit up or he'll be the next in the portal. We need to use $ to our advantage...

But he actually played well.for them down the line. IMO Williams is not great

 

To add on to this, van dyke was benched after he had a 4 game stretch where he threw 10 INT's over the 4 weeks. Good call bc Something was going on with him. But since he's been back the last 2 games he's gone

Either way idc about the canes lol but losing TVD will hurt a bit as williams doesn't have a lot to hang his hat on. Unless of course they got someone already lined up to transfer in at QB.

And their RB was like our Etienne in that He has very comparable stats to his counterpart in their case it's Fletcher. And was involved with the offense. That one is gonna sting a little too.
