I've never been a season ticket holder but my daughter starts at UF in the fall and I just got 6 tickets in section 15. I know there will be games where I don't use them all and would rather find a good charity to give them to rather than sell them. I'm curious what kind of local charities there are, preferably for children, maybe special needs or disadvantaged youth, that I would be able to donate tickets to, most likely last-minute. For example, I may realize I have 2 or 3 extra tickets on the Friday before gameday. Or even if it isn't part of a charity and there is a kid that is deserving and it would really make their day to go to a game with their mom/dad, etc. please let me know.

Reichert House is one. Also the Boys Club and/or the Girls club of Alachua county would be good charitable entities.

Thanks, I just checked out the Reichert House facebook page and it looks like a good cause. I'll add it to my list. The "Me!" charity above looks interesting also, LOL

Another good charity is the Ronald McDonald house here in Gainesville. They often have parents and siblings staying there while another sibling is battling a life threatening illness and don't have much money or things to do on the weekend.

Thanks for the great ideas. I went by the stadium monday to see my new seats before my daughter's orientation for honors and ursp. Season is still months away but I'm excited to see a live game again!

My wife is forced to live with me. You should give them to her as a charity case, and since she could not care less about football...well...you know.

You can use Ticket Exchange on floridagators.com to sell your tickets once the games get loaded onto that site. I believe I also remember that there is a way to donate them from there during the season, as well.

Ask an f$u fan, they "fill" their stadium up to 50% capacity giving away tickets to charities.
